xaarman
Was this already posted? The FY17 Rated Officer Retention Analysis is in the Static Demographics under AFPC applications. Normal details, but the pilot FY17 take rate was 43.8%, down from 48.1% in FY16. Edited November 8, 2017 by xaarman
NKAWTG
They have managed to get over 300 pilots to sign up for 22 or 24 years aviation service bonus. That should make up the difference for the low take rate of pilots expiring on their pilot training commitment.
GOOSE 76 MAFIA
anyone seen the 2018 AvB yet?

Is AMS and/or RAW working for you guys? The pages won't load for me over the last week. I've been itching to see the FY17 Retention report.. My guess is they'll wait to post it until end of calendar year since the FY17 NDAA AVB is offered until Dec 31st (excluding 1 & 2 yr options). Does that 43.8% number include the 1-2 year bonus takers? My feeling is that many of the 1-2 year takers are already in non-UPT ADSC commitments, so they took the free money. If so, that number is even worse than it appears.
xaarman
It is long commitments only, 4-5 year takers.

Mikey Donuts
Don't forget that one year to The Died is technically a PCS. We won't give you a 365 deployment, but here is your remote. You can make it a two year if you want your wife and kids to join you. Contract not violated. Trust no one.

Kenny Powers
Same. I figure I'll forget about it (already had until reading this again) and then someday, poof, they figure it out and I get a bunch of back pay.
ViperStud
Saw my modest bump first paycheck. ANG dude. I have to admit, with all the (non) support agencies we rightfully bitch about, our finance shop isn’t one of them. They’ve generally been spot-on and I’ve heard very few peeps have pay issues. Now if only some of them would cross-train to Comm...
ImNotARobot
Month and a half after implementation and still getting the old rate at my Guard base. Anyone else’s finance still unable to un this situation? And they wonder why no one wants to stick around. No flight pay bump yet at my Reserve base. Finance told another pilot in my unit “It could take up to a year...the pay tables from AFRC aren’t correct”Not really sure why I expect anything other than gross incompetence from support agencies.Imagine if I flew an ILS (a routine task) like a finance guy files a voucher. Sorry, the system is down. Sorry, we went to lunch. Sorry, we’re closed for training. Sorry, you didn’t sign this on the correct date. Sorry, we lost the voucher. Sorry, you need to show me in the AFI where it says I have to do my job. More time is expended creating any/every excuse NOT to do a primary job than actually performing the smallest task. It’s OK though. Because they can never be fired. I just wish I could go back to the days of paper vouchers, paper 105s, etc...
BONE WSO
No pay bump here either. My finance office (which is great) filed a ticket with DFAS which was in the system for about 3 weeks before DFAS closed the ticket and said "it is a known problem and we will fix the issue in one big batch." My finance office apparently does not have the authority to fix it. Unbelievable. Edited November 20, 2017 by BONE WSO
