C-5 landed without nose gear extended at LERT.  No other details other than it appears to be an aircraft malfunction

there are certainly worse places to break

Cue the jokes about the C-5 always breaking in great locations.

Well. at least that's an improvement.  In my day (granted, that was a few decades ago), they broke everywhere they went.  The joke then was that they always flew in formation...C-5 lead, C-141 wingman carrying spare parts.

Hopefully it had nothing to do with the "not un-knelt light"...ha...FRED

Footage starts at 3:00

You faked me out with that "gear up landing" title like it was some kind of barney crew. Gear malfunction is a totally different story and fred handles the nose up landings just fine.

Wow. Able to slow it down substantially with the nose up. I think the 135 would just fall apart

that was an impressive touchdown! but I'm sure the loads still complained

Your cargo is now distressed....

They're going to need a bigger jack.

There is a reason the C-5's have permanently mounted nose jack pads.

The 135 has landed with the nose gear retracted twice without any major damage.

It is entirely different if a 135 hits a bunch of cows with the nose gear on a touch and go.
