18 hours ago18 hr Author The rumblings begin. Rubio might resign and pregame a presidential run. Honestly, if Vance wants to stand a chance, he probably has to oppose Trump to the point of getting fired, but he won't. DeSantis is about to become a Mr in Jan, so I expect he'll play. With TX singing Blue Bayou like a gaggle of drunk woo girls at at bachelorette party high on gummies, Adderall, and White Claws, Crus is sitting very alone at a back wall table stirring his melted ice brown water with his swizzle stick, probably thinking, fuck it, lets play, and he forms a P-Run committee. The key will be who gets Elon's money without the vitriol that comes with getting Elon's money. I'm expecting a crowded field come primary season.Meanwhile (in a Frank Caliente voice), the Dems will be too busy with frying Trump et al, that they forget that the next election is the next election. Like last time, they'll shrug, do it live (Ds suck at planning), and force another tarded pick on the people. "You will vote for Kamala and like it!!" I predict a Republican President in 2028.

The mid-terms have proven he is not the demigod he thinks he is!As for Texas, Tuesday was a bit of a shock but not surprising with all the immigration (i.e., Mexico, California, etc.) that has been going on here for the past decade. I wasn't a fan of putting Paxton up (too much luggage), and the Lt Governor Dan Patrick was too far off the reservation. Abbott did great things for the state and I thought he'd survive, but the border efforts during the Biden years and supporting ICE did him in.I guess he can now join this crowd!
16 hours ago16 hr That’s awesome lol. When the homeless situation/crime gets worse then I’m sure they’ll blame it on right wing extremism or something of the like.

14 hours ago14 hr Any constitutional scholars can chime in if I'm wrong, but a Rubio/DeSantis ticket would be a dumb idea because the 12th Amendment prohibits that state's electors from voting for them because they're both from the same state. That would mean leaving Florida's 30 electoral votes on the table. This ticket would be technically possible, but it would require one of them establish residency elsewhere. Cheney did this in 2000, but he had been a Congressman from Wyoming so that wasn't seen as a dirty trick. Neither DeSantis or Rubio have plausible ties elsewhere so I suspect they'd get hammered for it.

"You will vote for Kamala and like it!!"I predict a Republican President in 2028.The part missing from this optimistic prediction (for the right) is that Trump is still president for the next two years and is showing zero signs that he intends to slow down making an ass out of himself and the party. The dems can comfortably exist as a foil to that, which is honestly the only thing they’re good at. Trumps veto and the Supreme Court will keep a dem congress in check which is a good thing but also has the side effect of preventing dems from stepping on any policy rakes by taking their woke nonsense too far. For those reasons I think the dems will carry (some) momentum into the next election and will likely win regardless of who they put up.Of the candidates you float here Cruz and Desantis are the ones that have some plausible deniability from the most severe retardation of the last two years, but they also have the misfortune of being a deeply unappealing weirdos. Rubio and Vance both have obviously more talent but are in too deep to truly distance themselves. Ultimately though I’m very optimistic about the next two years. As someone who thinks both parties are genuinely unhinged I love it when the presidency and congress are at odds because it’ll just be gridlock that ensures nothing too crazy happens in either direction. Other than the amount of money they’ll waste doing witch hunt investigations against each other, it’s a libertarian’s dream.

Trump will be Trump but I think the general public will grow weary of the constant bickering and they will accomplish nothing, opening the door for a GOP resurgence in two years. All of the usual suspects (Schumer, Schiff and AOC), are prioritizing sweeping investigations, and potential impeachment inquiries targeting specific members of the Trump administration and his FAMILY.
