If stating the obvious puts me in the minority, count me in too. It's the President's money, he can do what he wants with it. Apparently he wants kids to go to college. He split the money among fou

Try being his assigned C-21 IP..... Enough said. All I remember, and what really counts, is someone took a stinker in his helmet bag at Spang.

Just have to add more fuel to the fire.  At Ramstein 02-06, so lived through all of it.  Very high authority says part of the fuel was his early association with Gen Bill Creech.  Creech left standing order to "take care of Doc for me" just before he retired.  The worst of the Doc appointments came before Gen Creech died, the firing by the SecDef on a surprise Ramstein stop after Creech died does seem to fit together well.  Another note, if you check with the Daedalians office at Randolph, you will find that his Order of the Sword was pulled and removed from record upon his firing and retirement that night.  The staff was pretty amazed by my stories of his antics.  Pretty freaking funny I though.

I know I'm late in the game on this thread and I found it while doing some research on The Doc after watching some YouTube videos on GO shennanigans.  I was stationed at Ramstein from 2001 to 2007 so I lived through the dark times of The Doc's tenure as USAFE/CC.  There is so much great information in this thread that I could use the material to write a book on the matter.

What I remember most about those days was Airmen working on Combat Proud patrol where they would have to respond to hotline calls.  The calls mostly came from Doc himself to inform the poor kids that a wayward Taco Bell cup was last seen on the road to CTS outside the West Gate of RAB and required immediate investigation and disposal.

I retired in 2015 after 20 years of service and never in those 20 years have I known of anybody, officer or enlisted, that was more universally loathed than The Doc.  I know leadership isn't a popularity contest, however, I think if NOBODY likes you, it should be a good indicator that you are not one of the good ones.

His Wikipedia page really likes him, although I hear they locked down editing for a time. Apparently Combat Proud patrols extended to the cyber domain.

AF AMN/NCO page must be tracking this thread revival because this is perfectly on cue

The use of the term "immersion tour" made me throw up in my mouth a little.

So there is a correlation between operating multi-million dollar high tech war machines and a weed trimmer or lawn mower? My John Deere mower and Stihl trimmer are both over 25 years old. How sophisticated is lawn maintenance these days?

When I was a 2A753 (Sheet metal/corrosion control), I painted the grass in front of our Corrosion Control hangar green.  This was in 1998 at the 388th.

To be fair… doesn’t that meet or exceed the technology in the Hawg?

Maybe these new trimmers are awesome, I dunno, everything is xeriscaped out here in the land of entrapment.

Can your wife use the right gas can and start a 2-cycle wacker on a cool day?  It takes skill to get that choke just right.
