That looks awesome and I want one, although I could see the 9mm not generating enough gas to cycle properly. Have a WWII original, but I generally try not to shoot those guns much, more of the safe queens... My brother in law is now a deputy chief of police but ran weapons and his departments SWAT team for many years. I was able to train with them a few times and when he first started their officers were carrying the Marlin 9MM carbine modified to accept Glock Magazines. The rationale was officers only had to carry one type of mag for both pistol and rifle. I shot it many times in training and it was able to cycle with no jams. It shot well and was easy to use during transition but my BIL converted the unit to M-4 Carbines because he was worried about stopping power of the 9MM at distance. Still not convinced after watching several videos...dependability is a big issue for me. 13 hours ago, Lord Ratner said: So about the Keltec PR57... It's kinda great. 2
Lawman Posted Friday at 02:43 PM Posted Friday at 02:43 PM One of the biggest seen benefits of moving to 5.56 by teams that started doing it was the shatter factor of the round leading to lower over penetration of residential walls. That and the higher degree of idiot proof seen in the AR platforms led to a lot of departments ditching the MP5, which while very sexy is a more expensive and intensive weapon to keep up in an armory. I've only put 150 rounds through it, so it'll take a few more trips to the range to be sure, but for $400 it's a pretty cool gun and quite fun to shoot. I'll mirror these comments. I put a Vortex CCW on mine. The dot is wider than the pistol. Mine is not accurate. At all. It'll suffice at close range, but a shooter it is not. Might be the dot mount I guess. I haven't trouble shot it yet. It flings the empty cases a really long way. Like comically far.

I've also been using a red dot as a crutch for so long my iron-sights skills have definitely atrophied. 🫣

When I shot it, I was just using the head box of a USPSA target at about 10 yards after a match. Probably a 4 inch group or so. The dot plate screws sit above the plate, so the dot mount is janky. ??? Beats me.
