I'm guessing percentages. Most people are right hand dominant and save the left hand for "special occasions"

So I've been told.😁

Back to a more adult conversation which I obviously struggle with at times. While I certainly like shotguns, I personally prefer my trusty Glock 19. I seem to shoot it better than any handgun I've ever owned. Certainly, preferable to the 92. I know a lot of SOCOM types have carried the Glock 19 since at least 2013 which says a lot.

Glocks are great guns - simple, accurate and dependable as fuck. Their only crime is bland looks, but I don’t give a shit about that, especially on “purpose-driven” guns. Range toys are for fucking around with fancy shit.

And if you can’t stand stock, a trigger, sights, barrels, springs, etc. are not expensive, easy to find, and easy to replace. I had a buddy give me shit once because I “had to” replace the trigger on my glocks, so that’s why they suck. Even with that and a aftermarket barrel on that particular Glock, I was still less money in than his malfunction trainer…I mean Kimber.

I put on Ameriglo night sights. Way better than stock. I can lay it on a nightstand with a surefire next to it and even in the dark I can easily find both from the glowing dots of the rear sight. Still way less than a Kimber😁

I never understood the obsession with 1911s. They are gorgeous, and I have one, but every time someone tells me they carry one I have to question their thought process. Ancient tech, low capacity, and a super light trigger pull. Just doesn't make sense to me for most realistic use scenarios.

They are thin, so I guess that counts for something, but it's not like it's a small gun.

Glocks are fucking hideous, and I don't love the grips, but it's a phenomenal weapon for actual use.

Edit: Obviously I'm assuming your friend is using a Kimber 1911.. That's all I ever see from them.

I don't love the grips,

Have you tried talon grips? I put the rubber version on mine and really like them. Cheap and easy to install. No issue against bare skin when IWB carrying.

No, I haven't. I'll keep them in mind if I decide to try carrying a Glock, but I've been really happy with the Sig P365X so far.

Though I might just try them on my G17 for the range. Thanks for the tip

FFDO weapon has the Ameriglo sights. I added those to my personal Glocks since they worked so well.

From a multigun match a few weeks ago.  Not sure why the cameraman didn’t open the iris on his tube more to let more light in, so it’s kind of dark.

These 2 needed a good cleaning.  It had been a while for both of them.

Copy.  I'll be buying a pistol that will turn into a rifle for tyranny at close to medium ranges.  Right now my pipedream is the Sig MCX Rattle Canebrake, which would require a proper stock, which is now apparently a pistol brace.  The suppressor is a whole other story...but I'm patient.

A fond "fuck you" for this post. Now that I know what this gun is, I can't talk myself out of getting one. I'm not planning on the canebrake version, but it's simply irresistable.

What can are you running on that?

I'm in the market for one with the ATF approving individual (not Trusts) Form 1s for suppressors in a matter of days, once I see how I do on my taxes (if you wait until the last minute, it only takes a minute!).

Of course, with the quick turnarounds most online suppressor vendors (Silencer Central, Capital Armory, etc.) are sold out of stock on many items. 🤬🤬🤬

Not sure what can that is, but I highly recommend DA Wolfman for 300 BLK. With my reloaded 220gr subs, it’s quieter than my nail gun (host = 10.5” with pistol length gas system and SA adjustable gas block). Maybe my favorite gun to bang steel with. The Wolfman also works awesome on any 9mm host and on 5.56 (though there are better options for a dedicated 5.56 can, it’s still damn good).

Definition of “Engaged in the Business” as a Dealer in Firearms

Unless this gets thrown out in the courts, you kiss goodbye to private firearm sales for those of us who still live in free states.

If you don't feel like trying to understand that legal mumbo-jumbo, William Kirks does an excellent initial summary...

Thanks to the idiots behind the "Bipartisan Safer Communities Act" for actually believing disarming law-abiding citizens will reduce shootings!!  🤬🤬🤬
