  1. "The threat Trump poses..." Not to discount what he says, but where was he four years ago? Trump isn't really offering anything new now, and many seem to be measuring him as though he's going to come in to this presidential thing and make all sorts of changes (like it was something new). That time has long passed. To make matters worse for me (slightly retarded with age), is that at first, I though you were talking about this famous Boyd: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Albert_Boyd
  2. You know, I was thinking how most everyone here is college educated, and has at least a little - context. However, reading through these comments, one would think posters are: Non-military High-school educated Unable to move beyond (or aside from) their solid, diametrically opposed position to others Inability to view recent events as an indicator (relying instead on tired old clichés) I suppose this thread is just a reflection of reality in 2020 - but seems just sad. Oh well, I'm off to spend some money, and enjoy a meal at a restaurant!
  3. Thank goodness I was being sarcastic, eh?
  4. Back up to punt, using special weapons.
  5. From the "Minutia department" The AK's in the poster reference the Wolverines, and their captured (from the Rooskies) weapons. Who will dig up a poster for the Sequal? You know, that Fat Kid's country, was the bad guy.
  6. Yes, there is clearly one person with a mask on.
  7. Slightly more information: https://www.wavy.com/news/local-news/accomack-county/plane-crash-reported-in-accomack-county-monday/ No peanut jokes, please.
  8. Was this sarcasm? Sure seemed like it. For your last question - the answer is yes.

No harm intended (nor should you be apprehended (or apprehensive)). I really was just curious, as I watch it live with that service. It's hi res, and during the race at least, utilize the Sky commentary. The pre and post shows are pretty lame though. I wish I could get Sky, but I can only watch that a day later with a torrent.

We're you watching with F1 tv?
  11. We're you referring to the Obama~Bin Laden operation?
  12. I had such high hopes for Lebanon, it is indeed a tragedy. In a semi-related matter - the neck down look in that video was fantastic!
  13. I hate to Wednesday morning quarterback, but it does seem like the city was spared some of the energy here - by what amounts to a huge concrete wall (the remaining silo).

It will be interesting, but at least Hulkenberg has experience with F1: https://www.motorsport.com/f1/news/racing-point-waiting-hulkenberg-covid-test-result/4846714/?ic_source=home-page-widget&ic_medium=widget&ic_campaign=widget-22

Lewis doesn't really know what his "kneeing" and "Black Power" symbols mean to those in the US outside of the cause. One wonders if this wokeness at the circuit will just fade away?
  16. CIRG also. Mostly multi-cam, some blue. They have interesting air assets too.

I smelled some sarcasm in 17D's post. I also think that F1 in general is so fully woke, that it appears they've also taken some amphetamines. Lastly, they are still hypocrites. If they're really worried about racism, they would cancel races in China, some middle-east, and eastern Europe. It's all pretty hilarious watching them try to jump on the proverbial band-wagon. It's a little like thinking Valtteri Bottas is synonymous with hip-hop.
  18. I don't know, it seems alot like the Wall St. 99% thing from a few years back. The faces [sic] are the same. Here's an interesting take on it: https://youtu.be/O-253uBJap8?t=32
  19. Pandemic Blamed for Plane Crash "The pilots of a Pakistan airliner that crashed last month were having a discussion about coronavirus while preparing for their first failed attempt to land, the country's aviation minister has said." Interesting bits cherry-picked by me: Crew continues COVID discussion, leading to this on final: 10nm - Gear Down 5nm - Gear Up Engines make runway contact on their gear up attempt "They dismissed warnings from air traffic controllers and 'started discussing corona again'" Both engines fail during the Go Around 1/2 mile short - no power - aircraft stops flying. Some quotes: 'Corona was dominant over their mind. Their family was affected.' 'Several warnings and alerts such as over-speed, landing gear not down and ground proximity alerts, were disregarded,' "He said: 'It was pointed out the pilots were busy talking about corona, and that they may have overlooked a few things.'" "...there was no technical fault, and that the pilots were not 'focused" because of the pandemic.'" https://news.sky.com/story/pilots-in-pakistan-plane-crash-were-distracted-by-coronavirus-worries-minister-says-12014041
  20. Hope they go through with it. Sorry regular folks in Minneapolis, but I want to get my popcorn and watch your city self-destruct. We can then all learn from this idiocy.
  21. You're right, this is right out of any of Heinlein's books. Funny, when I read them, having the spacecraft land on it's *ss seems so 1950's, but it works!
  22. Mods... Perhaps it's time to break this discussion out into its own thread?
  23. I don't want to be the "another video guy," but this (short) double landing from 2018 has some entertainment value:
