  1. No, he shouldn't resign, come on now... He should be fired!
  2. "That said I know a good paint and body man." <<Hope that isn't him! This is the rumored ordnance used in the "Car-Full-O-Suicide-Vests" mission.
  3. It will be interesting to see how fast we recognize these twelfth-century sycophants as a legitimate state.
  4. One could also ask, why couldn't we have made Bagram our final departure place (instead of HK airport)? Bagram easier to defend? Fewer civilians? When/if things go sideways would you rather be at KBL or AIX? Did anyone consider this? Sorry, some of these questions will seem a bit...rhetorical.
  5. Geeze... Awful On a related note, a question: Does the Taliban making the first move here, free us to operate a little more aggressively?
  6. Not sure if this was posted before, but these are good folks helping the kind of people you're talking about: https://nooneleft.org/
  7. Kamala has almost landed over there...on a Saturday (Sunday there) evening. Lot's of people tuning in = doubtful. But it will be interesting to see what kind of drama (uh... spin) gets put on her visit).
  8. From the Read-the-Teleprompter-Contemporaneous speech: I'm not sure if that was really Larry, Moe - or curly who answered that...
  9. Apologies for a post on the heels of another, but wanted to say, I think your other weights are very accurate (and sadly entertaining).
  10. I think the probability-weighting for option D should be a heavier (maybe 75%) Once we are out, these knuckleheads are going to twelfth-century everyone they can get their filthy hands on.
  11. So agree. What's that even like, taking off with people hanging on to your UHF antennas, knowing they will not make it much past rotation? <<rhetorical question
  12. Only a metaphor right now, but here's your photo op...
  13. I'm trying to stay focused on the bigger picture. I keep adjusting the knobs to try and do that, but I think this thing is digital. Related story (to Pawnman's NPR thing): https://www.foxnews.com/us/washington-dc-murders-surpass-coronavirus-deaths-july

Thoroughly enjoyed watching Lewis struggle, and whine. As for Bottas, well let's see if there is an announcement over the break.
  15. She's back! Yes folks, back in time for the Balance Beam. Hope she survives: https://www.wsj.com/articles/simone-biles-balance-beam-final-tokyo-olympics-11627893493?st=3jzlmp139o61upy&reflink=desktopwebshare_permalink
  16. She just plain quit. https://www.spiked-online.com/2021/07/28/why-are-we-celebrating-simone-biles-for-quitting-the-olympics/ I think there may even be a bit of race baiting in the media on this - but it hasn't worked.
  17. Maybe so. But what does that look like two or three days in? US as the only additional player there?
  18. Close. They carry more dramatic weight, and therefore get the attention of the weak minded.

I like it, but 5 laps does make it sounds like lots of crashes (which might be cool)
  20. I can't tell if you're Sarcasming (sts) or not.
  21. ISIS seems to be moving pretty fast - If they were a "regular" (i.e. traditional) army, we could wait for them to spread out their logistics lines and cut off the head of that snake!
  22. Karma in-process: "Pakistan, After Rooting for Afghanistan’s Taliban, Faces a Blowback" https://www.wsj.com/articles/pakistan-after-rooting-for-afghanistans-taliban-faces-a-blowback-11625822762?st=pr8bgyzjdukghoo&reflink=desktopwebshare_permalink This is supposed to be a link so that anyone can read the karma (story).
  23. I have my two doses, but I am worried about my balls falling off. Can I get insurance for that?

You're right, Baku would have been another win for Max, interesting, eh? And the tire mix-up. Russell topped (sts) every practice and qualifying, then lead the race until the tire slip-up. That was just too "fishy" for me. When was the last time someone's pit activity was that bad? Makes you wonder if Lewis was on the phone saying "You need to do something to get him off that track?" (I know, pretty far fetched, right?) Then there's the very slightly connected (to F1) Montreal Canadiens
