Pay me as a major. Give me a 50k bonus. And hire a personal secretary for 35k with no additional duties, no quiep, Zero staff deployments only warfighting in your MWS, don’t make it 0 possibility to still make it to leadership track if at 20 years I think I might want to, and I still probably wouldn’t choose this path or stay in. The AF is in a world of hurt. They have burned a way to large segment of their people without care and now that we have power they just don’t realize what’s going on. I honestly don’t think even robin olds could fix the institutional leadership rot that we have in the AF. And since they are the ones in charge what motivation do they have to change. They can leave at any time they want. They are currently making a good amount of money and they aren’t stuck with the long term fall out of the decisions that they are making today. They don’t care about anything but their own bottom line so why should we care about anything else?

Agree with duck. Standard. Plus don’t waffle. Blood in the water. You will get eaten alive. Do it or don’t do it. Don’t regret your decision. But non vol drone or pilot in some random airplane is going to generate some stories and some stuff that hardly anyone else could or does do. So again why are you asking us? We are kind of biased. MQ1 & 9 should not be controlled by anything labeled ISR. Yes they collect information and have a pod for video. That’s second to their ability to kill people. Think the A10s should be under ISR? No. But they collect info and can broadcast it out. Dumb idea.

Don’t be in such a hurry to train. Will your gaining unit still gain you? Then chill. Don’t do much because they probably won’t have much for you to do. Then go to training at a later date. I’m sure you can work it to be on orders so you are still getting paid.

I’d probably take the retirement now option then. And just go to being a full time airline guy.

Does hanging it up cause issues with the civi job? To include are you allowed to take VA money and still be an airline pilot?
