Information on PCS/moves/moving (DITY, TMO, DLA, storage)
Stract- FWIW, When I separated in Sept, they would move my stuff to my HOR, or where I entered active duty; they were essentially the same place for me. I made a good amount of money renting the biggest U-Haul possible and road-tripping with the old lady. Your TMO should brief you on this crap in your initial out-processing briefing. PM me with any questions.

Haven't read his shit, but you don't sound like Dave Ramsey's target audience. Like AM said, how diversified are you? Do you have $18k split between 3 auto/airline/fleshlight stocks? Look into ETFs that offer inherent diversification like mutual funds, but usually have lower fees and higher liquidity.

I always shook my head when I saw the newly-minted SSgt pull up in his new BMW/Benz. They drove WAY nicer cars than I did, and I was making over 2x their base pay (not bragging). We do our young guys a disservice by not teaching a basic finance course at BMT/FTAC, even if it might fall on deaf ears.

Just googled Dave Ramsey, and he seems nothing more than a greasy businessman touting common-sense financial tips. He had to file bankruptcy early, bases some of his lessons/material on "Primerica" (pyramid scheme), and is promoted by one the best financial schemes going (religion). If you don't know that money earning money > money losing money, you should probably run for Comptroller of Detroit.

Liberty, Rights, and the Constitution 2
Again...never said they're the same (see above: hyperbole). Who benefited from Snowden's leak? I refuse to believe our military near-peers had no clue about the extensive data-mining our govt uses to hunt our enemies. The only people surprised by the reports were Americans that put too much trust in their government.

Liberty, Rights, and the Constitution 2
Never said anything about penalties. It was hyperbole. You break a law, you are a criminal. Yes and no. Why do you disagree?

Off-topic, but do you have any good -117 stories? Combat/early flying buffoonery/govt interference?

Liberty, Rights, and the Constitution 2
Have you ever sped on the way to work? You are too. I have little problem with Snowden's actions (Manning is a different story). I would be hesitant to call him a hero, but what he did was very important (albeit probably fruitless in the long run.)

Last Beer You Drank and Rate It
split a 2013 Bourbon County Brand Stout with the Old Man on NYE. Very boozy (its 14% abv), lots of chocolate, caramel, black licorice, and a bit of bourbon, but you can taste the potential for aging. Looking forward to cracking one in several years.

Pajaro- Congrats...you have a shitload of money! Disclaimer: I am a unemployed bum with little financial education from a state school, so keep that in mind. IMHO, you need to diversify. You have 59% of your net worth in one fund. Granted, that fund has kicked ass the past few years, but there have been a few HUGE "corrections" since its inception. You can call USAA and speak to a financial advisor (for free), and they can give you a more educated opinion about how to protect your money.

If it benefits him more than his fellow service members, the answer is pretty obvious...welcome to politics.
