ACSC OLMP?
Ah, takes me back to Distance Learning ACSC, Afghanistan ‘18. I decided that after hacking the mish, turning bad guy bodies into pink mist, then coming back and having to discuss “use of force” or “diplomatic resolutions” with a bunch of noners and civilians was pissing me off to no end, literally wanting to make me go out and kill someone. Trump was happy to oblige with the ROE and ISIS. I didn’t sign up for another course until rotating back home.

ANG Pilot Bonus
We have some ACA AGR’s but most of the guys that contribute are on ADOS. None of the ACA type orders (AGR or ADOS) have been USERRA exempt for us. However, some dudes have submitted their ADOS orders through Reduced Retirement and have had luck getting them approved. I really think that simply comes down to who is reviewing your order sets on any given day. But like SocialID said, what’s a brother gotta do to get some USERRA exempt ONE orders?

Promotion and PRF Information
I honestly don’t see what the problem is. I mean, the three dudes grilled on Capital Hill about the Afghanistan pull-out/debacle/abortion have a very impressive graduate education resume, and I think they showcased that higher level critical thinking during the withdrawal operation. It’s common knowledge more degrees make a better leader. /s SECDEF He holds a Master of Arts degree in counselor education from Auburn University, and a Master of Business Management from Webster University. https://www.defense.gov/About/Biographies/Biography/Article/2522687/lloyd-j-austin-iii/ Chairman of the JCS In addition to his bachelor’s degree in political science from Princeton University, General Milley has a master’s degree in international relations from Columbia University and one from the U.S. Naval War College in national security and strategic studies. The WOKE Thread (Merged from WTF?)
I agree it’s f****d that people are able to push the agenda of allowing kids to choose what sex they want to be and then allowing them to seek those changes without parental consent. But the data on the MiG is incorrect. The Fox News article you quoted actually referenced an article I saw a few weeks ago (One headline from Dec. 11 portrayed the JROTC as ensnaring teenagers, "Thousands of Teens Are Being Pushed Into Military’s Junior R.O.T.C." ). In multiple low income areas across the US, school administration officials are in fact forcing kids into JROTC programs without either the kids’ or parents consent. (https://www.nytimes.com/2022/12/11/us/jrotc-schools-mandatory-automatic-enrollment.html) Not advocating for the abolishment of JROTC, and half of the crap in the article I think, is overt sensationalizing. Just giving more context.

Get rich scheme for someone along the way. Pay to get your “I wanna be airline pilot” card and you have to carry it with you during flight.

Best chances for fighters.. AD or Reserves?
I actually think he was real. The reason I say that was I’m pretty sure he rushed our unit and we agreed to interview him before we found out about his online persona. Can’t remember all the details as I’ve had a scotch or two or 690 since then, but it seems to be in the ballpark of possible. He was not hired if that wasn’t obvious.

Last night, LGA changed from landing on 31 and departing on 4 to landing on 4 and departing on 13. The pure shit show that was ground talking to everyone was hilarious. Added hilarity when company maintenance would chime in to ask if they could move a piece of equipment, right after ground gave a lengthy clearance and was awaiting read back.

Latest Movies
Not a movie, but if you have Amazon Prime, I’d recommend checking out Counterpart. It premiered on Starz back in 2017; interesting concept and really entertaining. And yeah, boo China. They’re the worst. This shit didn’t fly when Harvey Weinstein ran Hollywood. #justsayin /s

The Next President is...
Bring back Congressional term limits. I happen to believe that if people weren’t so invested in protecting their cash cow job that serving in Congress has become for their entire adult lives, you’d see more compromise on issues. That’s just me. But I think we all know that dude or dudette who has stuck around in a job a little too long and refuses to change with the times because, dammit, that’s what they’ve always done. Periodically hitting refresh is not a bad thing, IMO.

Agreed. Most recent 11-202v3 guidance is a good thing to keep in mind: 1.8. Violations. A violation (pilot deviation) may result when a USAF aircraft deviates from a flight rule. FAA air traffic control (ATC) deviation reports involving USAF aircraft are processed by the Air Force Representative to the FAA (AFREP) in accordance with Department of the Air Force Manual (DAFMAN) 13-201, Airspace Management. USAF ATC deviation reports involving USAF aircraft are processed in accordance with AFI 91-202, The U.S. Air Force Mishap Prevention Program. Violations that occur in the airspace of foreign nations are processed in accordance with the procedures of that nation. 1.8.1. If a unit or pilot is notified by an air traffic controller or AFREP of a possible pilot deviation, the unit or pilot shall preserve any available evidence for a minimum of 180 days and contact the AFREP prior to disposal. (T-1) 1.8.2. For any communications involving any alleged violation, utilize aircraft call-sign only and do not release any aircrew member information to non-USAF agencies without the permission of the AFREP in coordination with the MAJCOM/A3 or AF/A3O. (T-1)

Flight Physical right before starting UPT?
I believe that until you are winged, you still fall under initial aircrew. But stuckindayton or someone else with more knowledge can provide the 100% answer.

Major Airlines are no longer requiring 4yr degrees in becoming a Commercial pilot
Not exactly a guaranteed job, per se, but you’d definitely have a leg up in getting hired by a regional that then flows to the major at AA after 2 years. https://www.aacadetacademy.com/CadetAcademy/Index

OCONUS Leave While Mobilized
Went on a “deployment” a year and a half ago to Georgia for a Title X federal activation. FlamingTornado has it right. We all took leave for family visits, trips, etc., as long as we had the leave and the commander approved it.

The WOKE Thread (Merged from WTF?)
Had a bro several years ago get in some slight trouble due to some hijinks. Whenever a spare flight cap was found around the squadron, it was quickly turned into a canvas panel, and a dick was drawn in the cap in permanent marker. All fun and good until it occurred to the WG/CC, who was unaware and took his flight cap to an O-6 meeting in D.C., and then subsequently forgot said cap at the table, only for the SARC representative(no shit) to pick it up, look inside trying to find a name, and was struck by the sheer power of the dick drawing. Maybe some slight verbal counseling occurred, but the best part was that same guy ended up going and getting a rooster stamp and stamp pad, and that became the new marker for abandoned flight caps.
