  1. Did you fail the red lens test? If so, could you describe the failure?
  2. Yep, been using it for years, excellent stuff. Ironic how it is run by ex-mil etc. and not endorsed/affiliated to any mil org.
  3. it just boggles my mind why "somebody" (i.e. comm maybe?) can't put out some sort of gouge, continuity info, etc to address all these common issues rather than have people spend countless hours troubleshooting.
  4. forgive my ignorance, but couldn't you just drop this pile of shit (CAC card, personal computer, etc.) off at comm and have them unf$$$ it?? i've always wanted to try that option. It seems like every 2 mo., some new security change comes out, and I'm subsequently unable to access email, AF portal, AROWS, DTS etc. Any more, you need to be an IT professional to operate this shit.
  5. Except, in 6-9 years, fighter pilots will be non-existent....
  6. Once you are called in for an interview, you have time (1-3 weeks) to prep. This is the time you renew your 2 year old expired medical. It's all a joke anyway.
  7. Just to clarify MountainHerc, is that sandals in the DFAC w/ straps or is that standard Ocean Pacific flip flops. Back in the day, this was an issue. Thanks
  8. Thanks for all the info. Haven't been over in awhile and I know it changes yearly. Back in 04 it was civvies allowed but no cargo shorts in the chow hall (excuse me "DFAC") and you couldn't wear strap-less sandals in the mess. I took some 550 cord and "made" a strap for my flops
  9. Question for anyone at the Deid: what's the current intel on dress code, civilian clothes, civvies in the chow hall?, strap-less sandals in the chow hall? that kind of the nonsense. Thanks for any info.
  10. Is ACSC doable on a 4 mo deployment? Or are you busting balls to get it done in that timeframe?

  13. I thought it was 255K for classification as a heavy.
  14. Was the cell over the field yellow/red/magenta? What time of year? Also, do you remember what the range was set on the radar?
  15. Awesome, keep us posted on thisl and I will research as well. This is huge in that right now we (TR's) can only travel CONUS (American Samoa, Guam) and that's it. This will allow transpo to Europe now. Sweet
  16. Great advice. The last time I did this was mid '90s when I carried a little black book with all the contact info for different locations (taxi's, lodging, paper maps, bus schedules, terminals, etc) (think, no iphone, very limited intranet) I'm curious to see if the adventure has changed (for better or worse) with all this tech. Where did you go for the trip BTW??
  17. Just did this a few months ago. ATP written completed in 2009. All the examiner wanted from me was a letter from the CO stating I had been an active mil flyer at the time I took the ATP in 2009. ATP complete!!!
  18. Reference the FAR's, the ATP written is good indefinitely for military as long as you are/were an active flyer with a unit. Cheers
  19. Wow, I'm 4 mo. shy of 20 and I don't even know what this BAC+ is !!!!!
  20. Beauty's in the eyes of the beholder........ or something like that
  21. DAC Ron Donakowski by chance?? Shot down in a Loach 3x in one day (once by a .51 cal) Great guy
