  1. Like the President is really pushing for this because he has nothing else to do. I love how this board derides the media... unless it's a story with no actual evidence to back it's claim about this President and his wants.
  2. Per diem + mileage for outside the commuting distance. For example lets say you claim you live 400 miles from the base when you actually live 50 miles. 400 miles at $.56 a mile is $448 round trip. Pull 30 AT days at one day a time = $13440 in just fraudulant mileage reimbursement.
  3. Uhh... it was 46% that had no tax liability. It doesn't mean 46% didn't file taxes.
  4. Gotcha- I ran mine as a single male aged 60 (since that's what you ended your piece with). Your first graphic is misleading because it says deductible per person at $12,400. Not total for two people.
  5. Even your graphic doesn't match their website as of today. https://secure.arkansasbluecross.com/LookingForInsurance/individualandfamilies/2014/results.aspx?zip=72002&productType=M&county=Pulaski&city=Alexander&variantId=00#/results.aspx?zip=72002&productType=M&county=Pulaski&city=Alexander&variantId=00 The bronze 6200 shows a $6200 deductible (hence the name - Bronze 6200)with a max out of pocket of $6350 not a $12000 deductible per person.
  6. I ran the details for a single 60 year old guy through the actual exchange website. Ran it for Arkansas, Pulaski county and found Gold plans, unsubsidized starting at $470 a month. That cheapest one? Arkansas Blue Cross Blue Shield Gold 1000 plan.
  7. So they make more than 400% of the poverty level for their family size? Assuming a family size of 4 that would be about $94K/yr. If we really wanted to see a decrease we'd open up the exchanges nationwide for better competition.
  8. Out of curiosity- those that are saying thier monthly premiums have jumped up a large number, is that before or after factoring in the government subsidy based on income level?
  9. No, she definitely DOES take it in the butt.
  10. Sure... but then you can't bend your arm without clicking it open or you forget the ones on your leg until you notice the huge ink stain as you pull it out of the dryer.
  11. Results of the "War on Drugs". Is that a liberal war?
  12. The wife and I are moving to Australia upon my retirement (which keeps moving to the right- I'm a glutton for punishment). But I haven't put hardly any thought as to whether or not I'll give up my citizenship.
  13. I'm surprised this hasn't been mentioned already... but I believe you are now required to post said picture of wife in bikini.
  14. There's a lot of good people in this world. They don't all get an NFL career handed to them.
  15. If this is your first reaction to this incident, your prioties as a human being suck.
  16. http://www.snopes.com/politics/medical/homeinspections.asp It's a voluntary program. Also this program was in place prior to Obamacare passing... Obamacare just added grant money to that program. http://www.pewstates.org/research/data-visualizations/home-visiting-inventory-85899372712
  17. The only action that would be in our national interest would be to strike the factories/stockpiles of chem weapons to keep them out of the hands of Hezbollah and/or AQ. That's it- and even that's a stretch.
  18. Well shit. That's the majority of my posts contents.
  19. ...and to think the guy that gave the order to committ the Haditha massacre in which 24 iraqi civilians were killed received a much harsher sentence of 3 months.
  20. Negative. The verbiage states the SECDEF has been given the authority to have a space A program, and that eligibility and category of travel is left up to him. So while he can make changes at his discretion, he has not chosen to do so.
  21. I'm sure the cameras filming them helped to remind them to maintain that professionalism. I wonder if that take down would have been different if there weren't two cameras filming it. They were on a walkway, not in traffic. Pure speculation. They weren't stopping the cars and there appeared to be ample room for pedestrians to pass by. What's at debate is whether or not this SHOULD be a lawful order. And if it's not a "choke slam" is WAY out of line!
  22. Clear? Hardly. I'd say the 6 cop cars in the middle of the road with lights on were more of a distraction. The portestors offered to move to another area and were denied... so yes it would still have been a problem. The Government man demanded an action by the peon. Comply or get squashed. Calls for criminal investigation is not the same as actually arresting a person. One persons rights are being violated, the other is idiots calling for his rights to be violated. If he is arrested, feel free to bring it up... you'll only be hurting your case that this is not a police state.
  23. No, they are taking an existing law (even if the protestors aren't violating it) and using that to justify their infringement on these people's rights. Who is the judge going to believe? The cop or the protestor? Even if the judge or DA decides the charges aren't warranted, ultimately the protest was stopped. The ends justifies the means? The cops don't want you protesting... they'll find an excuse to shut you down. When citizens have to prove their innocence in order to exercise their Constitutional rights, what kind of nation does that make us? A free state or a police state?
