PME points processing question
brabus replied to Chida's topic in Air National Guard / Air Force Reserves
You can get PME points that count towards a guard retirement, but not an AGR retirement (e.g. if you knocked out PME as a DSG). I want the days counting towards an AGR since I’m close enough to maybe get one. I was on orders when I did ACSC in correspondence, so don’t want those days to not count towards my AGR retirement just because I happened to be enrolled in PME at the time. -
Dammit, now I have to scrutinize which type I’m on before selecting the exit row. Another strike against the 73!

Man you are super clever and capable of useful thought, bless your heart. Anyhow, back on topic. Good oped regarding Gay’s resignation, how DEI has destroyed academia, corporations and in general our society, and what universities like Harvard (and other orgs) should do to unfuck themselves. https://www.thefp.com/p/bill-ackman-how-to-fix-harvard

If it’s actually a “real” roll call, do not tell a story, an instant justice, etc. Even if asked…your only response is whatever their toast is and take the shot. No matter how funny you think a story at college, while flying a 172, etc is, it will not land as well as you think. Don’t get hammered - you haven’t earned the ability to get wrecked and have all of them still like you the next day. Also helps you maintain control of yourself and not say dumb shit. Be yourself. Don’t try to be someone you *think* they want you to be.

PME points processing question
brabus replied to Chida's topic in Air National Guard / Air Force Reserves
I can’t be the only one, so cranimum’s up everyone… Did ACSC while on full time orders several years ago. Just realized my PCARS only granted PME points during that timeframe instead of giving me the active days points. So until fixed, I am about 6 months short of owed active days towards an AGR retirement. Check your shit guys, I’m an idiot for taking this many years to figure it out. -

I like Vivek. Not saying he’s perfect or I agree on 100%, but those will always be true statements for anybody vying for my vote. Too bad we’re all going to be force fed old guy vs old guy, as is tradition. I hope he can posture well for a ‘28 run.

Is that applicable to naked gunner hugs? I’ve only heard about it. Maybe an expert in that kind of thing (*cough* @ClearedHot *cough*) can provide fill-ins.

If so, he’s about to be 69 million times better off than being a wing/cc…I can’t imagine having to do a job that full of queep, bullshit, and politics. -
@Smokin It completely is doable, just people need to pay attention to their local happenings and be proactive. I think a large reason states like CO have completely transformed is because it all happened slowly prior to Covid, when max amount of people were blissfully ignorant to just about everything and were happy to be that way. Covid was the catalyst for waking up millions of Americans to the bullshit that was seeping everywhere. Now people are paying a lot more attention and have substantially less trust in govt and public entities at all levels. It’s substantially more difficult for progressive Polly to sneak onto the school board, get on city council 3 years later, and end up Mayor 6 years after that (e.g. the long game played in states like CO). The game has changed, and not in the progressive’s favor.

I thought DAL was my retirement job, but maybe there’s more $ to be made in eco-friendly dildos. @Biff_T and I are going to be rich!

Guard Pilot and Family

In my experience, absolutely. I think generally guard leadership is really good about helping their people. You’re still in the mil, so it’s not a guarantee, but my guess is they are willing to forego you going at all, look around to find a volunteer from a different unit to fill the time you’d like to be home, etc. There’s usually a way to make it happen for important stuff like a birth. -
Seen one Q3 in 17 years of flying, and it was deserved. The heavy world blows my mind on how they wield Q3s.

The media is coming to its defense, saying it’s fine because it only affects 3rd party mass-text message marketing, and not personal texts (paraphrasing). I still say bullshit. A company should be able to market to those who wish to receive their marketing, regardless of topic (if it’s legal). This is an overreach and another notch on the slippery slope belt of the “we know what’s best for you” crowd trying to control everything and everybody.

Don’t know about this particular one, but it’s astounding the amount of parents I see/hear of who are lazy fucks and don’t do shit to parent their kids. And then they wonder why their kid ends up all fucked up. It’s not the kid’s fault, it’s the parents’.

For a very good reason! Because that’s the way we’ve always done it. The end.

@Jon - Trident Home Loans Do you guys do construction loans?

As long as the cadets just have a bunch of minority trannies and pedophilia (sorry, I mean minor-attracted) shit on their page, maybe a 69 colors/shapes flag, and perhaps a shared link to Biff’s website selling unicorn fart-powered dildos, it’ll be smooth sailing and not a leadership eyebrow will be raised. Unless they’re a white male, then they’re fucked no matter what they do. So, who’s up for USAFA!?

My wife: “you’re an idiot, why do you still do this when you know you get horrible hangovers?” Me: “Because it’s too fun the night before! Totally worth it….I think”

I wish SCOTUS would clear their schedule for 2 months and eradicate all the garbage/unconstitutional laws in CA and NY, all of them. Like when you PCS and give away/trash all that random shit you don’t want to move. The country would benefit hugely.

I don’t get it either. Maybe she’s trying to demo all of the covid related shit (including her discharge) was nullified, and therefore she should still be a marine based at Iwakuni. But even if you follow that logic, why would she give a fuck to try so hard. Personally if I was her I’d want nothing to do with the Marines and move on with life.

Probably the only real impact we could make is set up shop along the border, tell Mexico we’ll be operating up to 20 nm into their airspace (and we DGAF what they think about it), and we start killing a lot of bad guys. unfortunately if you’re a “truly innocent” person who is attached to a coyote/foreign actor/terrorist, you may get caught up in it. That sucks, but the truly innocent will learn real quick to not do that (short of kidnapped). Full militarization of the border is the only option we have left that might have some real impact.
