I wonder what everyone with 320s (or variants) sitting at home will have available to them legally - recall with voucher for a Sig purchase, straight refund to method of purchase, etc. Seems like Sig is really setting themselves up for a ton of lawsuits if they don’t offer an avenue for 320 owners to trade/refund those pistols.
  2. The refusal includes refusal of any tests, including vehicular/DUI-related. It’s not just jetbridge refusals. So bottom line, you refuse a DUI-related test and your medical is gone for a while. I think that’s complete bullshit, but apparently that’s how it currently is. The FAA really needs to change that approach.
  3. Out of curiosity, I looked into the FAA side - as Arg mentioned, refusing any test is going to fuck you out of your medical for a while (length of time seems nebulous based on unpredictable speed of bureaucracy). I completely understand the perspectives above, just know your airline job is on hold for probably 6+ months if you refuse any test. No idea how the company would handle this (treated as disability, med leave, leave of absence without pay, double secret probation, etc?) That’s a real gut check in the moment.
  4. Serious question - why if you know you’re sober (zero drinks that day)? Aren’t you going to buy yourself a ton of asspain/time lost for no reason?

  6. Colorado is the perfect example of previous blue state residents completely destroying what used to be an awesome state. Let it be a crystal clear lesson for everyone in red states who say, “yeah well this is _____, it’ll never happen here/we’re safe.” That’s what everyone said in CO in the 90s; apathy will fuck you over 100% of the time.

Everyone call/email your reps. Unlikely to pass with GOP control, but still a huge threat to constitutional rights. The Dems yet again show their desires to completely unravel the constitution and turn us into a one party-rule, socialist shithole.
  8. I see the gofundme for his sunglasses failed, but at least there’s a hat this time. Small wins.
  9. I couldn’t even get through half of that recording, cringe is an understatement.
  10. @Negatory My post was completely apolitical and applies to every person, regardless of party, or any other, affiliation. You should try that some time, it’ll probably reduce your blood pressure.
  11. Completely agree they should release everything to “put it to rest.” Let the chips fall where they may. That said, nobody is going to prison solely based on being on a list/in someone’s “black book.” That kind of evidence proves nothing criminal, and anybody who thinks a list alone will drive justice is naive. There needs to be hard evidence of criminal wrongdoing, and unless a jury/judge is seeing photo/video/DNA evidence, nothing is going to happen.
  12. Of course even if a list is released, it’s still circumstantial evidence; nothing illegal about flying to an island. We all can likely infer with high accuracy what happened, but without further evidence, there’s nothing legally that can or will be done. I suppose some reputations will go down the shitter, but there won’t be any real justice. So that really makes it a big WTF the Trump admin is fucking with this. Nobody’s going to jail over appearance on a list, so why are they so concerned? Is this all really just for saving face? Insane.
  13. Or a super drink off, bunch of amateurs around here! (Spoiler, the first round will be too close to call)
  14. Apparently not in that class, but the Viper will be a thing for 20 more years, as of current plans.
  15. I’m actually surprised how intact he mostly is after that, at least from that camera distance.
  16. Interesting, probably some “non-standard” or personal reasons driving those.
  17. Good question. I used to listen to one guy’s podcast that was generally good and entertaining, but in real life interactions it became rapidly apparent he was a self-loving douche bag who I’m sure was credible in his former life, but he lacked all other “decent human” skills. I no longer listen to him because I know what a douche he is in real life (once off the mic and not pretending to be a good dude). Unfortunately, there’s probably a lot of guys like that out there.
  18. Solid points, love the priorities. Enjoy life away from the city bullshit! If you don’t have to carry a gun for wildlife protection on your own property, are you really even living?!
  19. Agree with Smokin. If it’s financially feasible to buy adjacent property, never pass it up. If you do, you’ll surely regret it down the road - you can’t have enough property to buffer between you and whatever some future jackass is undoubtedly going to do (Murphy’s law). Another thought if you really don’t want to sink that kind of money into the other parcel for the long term, you could subdivide it to large parcels you’d be comfortable with having neighbors on (say 40 acres), and put covenants on it that prevent further subdivision, no junk yards/large number of abandoned vehicles, etc. Don’t go crazy, but a few things like that could make it acceptable to you long term, and you’d certainly make some good profit…just have to be able to bankroll it for a few years.
  20. They'll be retrained into something - EX or 35 probably make the most sense. They may “burn” some time not doing a whole lot, but it’ll be fine in the long run.
  21. She is an absolute garbage human being. I hope never getting another professional job again is the best thing that happens to her. She deserves the worst.
  22. Nope. I understand, and share, many of Elon’s frustrations. But, a 3rd party isn’t going to solve those issues. Fundamental change has to occur amongst the voter population to generate meaningful change for the primary thing Elon is most pissed off about - the deficit. Until that happens (likely only when voters’ hands are forced), congress will do nothing meaningful to significantly impact that issue, regardless of party affiliation.
  23. But seriously, congrats on that much land. Good luck with the communists in charge of the state.
  24. I wasn’t referring to just the BBB, I’m speaking generally about avoiding the fiscal cliff - the answer is not more taxes, it’s stop spending ludicrous amounts of money on dumb shit. Though I’m glad to hear you say you’re down with cutting entitlements (e.g. where the vast majority of “the dumb shit” resides). The point I made above, and am making now, is large cuts in entitlements is the only answer that moves the needle enough. Until we do that, everything else is par for the course noise, including this bill.
