Unfortunately I’m referring to all administrations and political parties/Congresses, as well many high ranking military brass. Some are just a lot worse/more blatant than others. And yes, this administration doesn’t receive any high marks for defending the Constitution either.

Just remember that supporting the Constitution meant that it was ok to imprison American citizens just because of their ethnic background. Also, Milley supposedly supported the Constitution and said he wouldn’t the follow orders of the President and told our (supposed) enemy this as well. One has to wonder if the Constitution doesn’t mean much anymore when it can be “interpreted” to suit an individual/group when desired.

Also we should ban hunting because sometimes you can’t find the animal you’ve shot and they only go on to suffer in the wilderness…maybe we should only be able to eat meat that’s raised on a farm to ensure no additional suffering? Are you also against fishing for fun?…or do you enjoy luring in fish (no pun intended) just to trick and harm them by piercing their mouths only to throw them back in the water when you’ve had your fun? Israel can (and should) do whatever Israel believes they need to do. Now as to the question of US direct involvement…I think that would be a mistake. Which is why I think Biden is bluffing as I don’t see him authorizing an attack to support Israel. So just like Obama’s “red line”…it’s stupid to say this if you’re not going to do anything when it’s crossed. Side note—where are our resident leftists on this forum? Aren’t they all about democracies being able to defend themselves when attacked? Or does this just apply to when Russia is the aggressor?

While I’m understanding of your emotions, somehow I don’t think that would really make things better. I don’t know what the overall best solution is, but it’s definitely not this. Those that would stay behind would not necessarily remain there because they want to. Go after the terrorists, attempt to kill each and every last one…do your best to limit innocent casualties. And that’s even much easier said than done. I’m really curious to see how this all ends…but it’s definitely not going to be pretty.

If the House GOP is smart (usually they’re not) they’ll pass a bill (once they have a Speaker lol) that gives Ukraine some more funding, along with a lot of Israel funding to go directly towards wiping out Hamas, etc…oh and way more funding for our own border protection. I’m not saying all the Dems will vote against it, but it definitely won’t be anything close to unanimous. They should call it the “in defense of democracy bill” or something cheesy like that lol.

Whoa—you wrote a lot man, which I appreciate, but I don’t have the time to go over each detail. Big picture: If it’s something you could do on your own, by yourself on an island, it’s a right. Now if we’re waking about what is a “government protected right” that’s a totally different animal (very little pun intended). If the government can suspend the “right” then you never has it in the first place or you never needed the government to physically allow you to do it anyway. Have you seen how Adams in NYC wants to suspend the “right to shelter”…yeah, that’s because it was never a right to begin with. The truck piece—if you’re saying if the difference between you and your family staying alive or dying came down to killing someone for a truck and you wouldn’t do it then I don’t believe you…and also look what our government leaders do…they have us kill propel all day long to (theoretically) make our lives better, safer, etc. Keep in mind that society might want to hold you responsible for taking another person’s life (because…wait for it…humans have rights). But if you can defeat those who want to take you in then it’s irrelevant. It’s kind of like of like during WW2…if by some weird chance Japan would have defeated the US with an unconditional surrender after we had already dropped an atomic bomb, do you not think their leaders would have tried and/or executed some of our leaders? But the winners call the shots. Hence why very few people were ever held accountable for atrocities committed against the Native Americans. Trust me, it’s not because the Native Americans didn’t want to. Prostitution and drug use should totally be legal even though I’m morally against both. If you disagree, then when are we going to ban alcohol for the same reasons? So going back to the animals piece—it has been shown that we can survive without eating animals, so we do we need to do it if it harms the animal? Side discussion…kind of messed up how I can donate a kidney for free but if I’m not allowed to sell mine if I agree to the terms. With both examples, I’m out one kidney, but with one, I’m at least getting something else out of it.

Depends on how bad you need that car I suppose. A lot of people get killed in war that I’m sure didn’t necessarily need to die for objectives to be achieved. And though I’m morally against bringing drawn out suffering to an animal, for some people it’s what they want to do. Like I said a while back, I don’t support what this DoD guy did…but it does beg the question of why things are legal and why things aren’t. I’ve noticed that many on the left no longer believe “democracies need to be able to defend themselves from those who that attack their sovereignty” as of a few days ago. Whoever actually thought that the left actually supported Ukraine because of “democracy” were easily duped…fortunately I’ve learned over the years that the leftists support leftist ideology, and everything else they say/do is a distraction.
