    Don't know about fighter/bomber, but I went straight to AC and would have gone to IP upgrade 12 months later if it wasn't for SOS in res.

    Of the 10 straps or whatever are attached to the front of the MRAP in that picture, 8 of them are securing the load side to side. I'm not a load master, but I did take Physics 101 in college and I know that this will not provide any restraint fore/aft. It looks like only 3 or 4 straps are able to apply any fore/aft force at all. Heck, they may have well let a SERE specialist go in there with a mile of 550 cord.

    I've got the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1" and I like it. Sure it doesn't have the "retina" display, but I can't tell a big difference for 90% of the applications when run side by side with an iPad. Also, it has an SD port, so you could buy terabytes of memory on cards for the extra cost of the 64 gb iPad. That said, I don't have any aviation apps on it really. I use it for digital pubs and games mostly.

    Just saw Jurassic Park 3D. Although the exact same movie that came out 20 (holy crap) years ago, it made me inner 10 year old happy.

    So why should you pay as much as you can on your mortgage? Lets say you have a $1000/mo payment and you pay $1500/mo to pay it down faster. This causes you to eat into your reserves. If you lose your job or have a large, unforseen bill, you now have little reserve to pay the next month's mortgage payment. If you just pay the $1000/mo payment, you can build a $500/mo reserve! Plus, the loan interest vs. investment interest has already been discussed.

    I really like the fact that if I don't read the menu fast enough, I have to wait 45 seconds for the breakfast menu, drink menu, weekly specials, shout-outs to visiting generals, etc... before it gets back to the menu I was originally looking at. EFFICIENT!!!

    The negative g limit is on the fuel system, not the oil system. The oil system has a near-zero g limit.

    All I know is that USAGX (Precious Metals) has not been so kind in the last 6 months. Some analysts are saying gold is going to keep dropping to pre-bubble values, some say it will bounce back. Buy a shit ton at a discount rate? Bail? ugh, I should have just buried cash in my back yard.
