Plus all the regionals are hiring, supplemented with reserve pay its livable. The reason I was asking was how many were still thinking of flying for a living once they got out. Interesting times not just for the military side of flying.

What are they going to do for employment when they get out? Just curious.

Does being on the road\deployed mean less queep? Seems like most are happy with their decision.

True, every job has its good and bad. You just have to figure out how much you can handle. Like my neighbor who got out in 01 and went to DAL. Even though he liked his job he thought being a civilian pilot would give him better QOL. It was true but it didn't last long.

Or do 20 and retire to Costa Rica and surf everyday.

Do you have to take Calculus and Physics in AF ROTC? Whats wrong with AD? What if your guard/reserve unit goes away?

One last question, if you want to stay in but are worried about getting the boot why not wait until that happens? Is it that hard to get into a reserve/guard unit if you have been in 15+ yrs?

Always do what's best for your family. If you think being Mr Mom and bumming in the guard it the best way go for it.

Honest question here, is it worth staying and hoping things will change for the better? Or getting out and flying in a guard/ reserve unit part time and looking for a job? Are most people seperating already employed when they transition to the civilian side?
