Why do you think the guys flying Uav's in the Army are happier then the AF? Different environment with different rules? Did everyone who went from a fighter to Rpa end up back in a manned aircraft?

If the AF made it more family friendly by increasing Qol and decreasing hours would people stay?

Haha, APC is a good forum. I would also recommend jetcareers and flightinfo.com. Airlines are a lot like the military. Furloughs, high divorce, and lots of time away from home. Throw in bankruptcy,working holidays, nights and weekends. Oh and pay cuts.

If you want to go to the airlines. Is it worth the risk of hoping to get on with a major which is no guarantee and then hope you can get AD back without pissing off the airline who invested money in you. Do what makes you happy. 30 years at an airline is going to make you unhappy either way.

If you were going based on opinion why would you choose the AF, you would be crazy not to choose the Navy.

No,I'm not here to pick a fight. I'm just trying to figure out why everyone on here is bitter and other branches are not. If you check out Airwarriors as an example you have folks who encourage people to join. You have old timers telling stories and exciting the next generation. You don't have that here. So,is AD not as bad as people on here make it out or are the Navy/USMC prouder of their sevice? You tell me.

Interesting,it sounds right that CA would try it. So in essence you could be double taxed if the court wouldn't have shot it down.
