  1. What's your source for this? I don't see it in the article, but if it's valid, I'd like to follow up.
  2. Something tells me the Russians don't take noise and low-fly complaints as serious as us. https://www.youtube....h?v=gT2abFEFHqg
  3. Why in the world would he have done this? Surely EOD has offensive patches, roll calls, naked booby pictures, and as a whole it must be assumed that they denigrate women. There can be no other answer as to why an individual within a community would do something so offensive.
  4. For those who need a power starter the next morning.
  5. We have rated Captains being forced to separate while active duty folks are employed bagging leaves for a 4-star. Great priorities.
  6. Huh? If we had the manpower to do that, do you think this would be an issue?
  7. Vipers in Egypt. Up your life insurance, but as of a couple years ago they had great quarters and financial perks.
  8. Yes and yes. The symbology is the same RATR and gun cross, but a slightly different pipper.
  9. All, Please welcome a new moderator to the forum. Deaddebate has been hanging out for a while and providing advice, so I've given him the official title. I'm sure he will continue to give the same quality of contributions that he has previously, the only difference is that he now has the ability to bitch-slap the profile of anybody who feels the need to act like a prick to him.
  10. Also coupled with the fact that if you're strafing in an Eagle, you're probably danger close.

    Hurricane Sandy

That's a fantastic picture, and it is real, but it wasn't taken during Sandy, it was taken in September. Here are some photos taken today - not as impressive as the previous, but hats off to those guys nonetheless.

Yes. Don't waste your money, just go watch the first one again.
  13. You can request an advance payment prior to PCS from finance. There's some fairly easy paperwork you need to fill out - talk to finance.
  14. Correct. When I was there, the 2-star was trying to open it up for families in order to be able to extend tour lengths. He polled folks to see what the general consensus was and the extension of tour lengths was a minor issue compared to those who realized they would quickly lose their tax free benefits if families started showing up.
  15. Are you fucking kidding me?
  16. Title changed. To the OP: AWACS, aka E-3 JSTARS, aka E-8 Might want to learn the difference
  17. Bump with a message I just received. I don't think there's any new info (I never checked the original notice), but there are direct links for different systems here. If you don't have a CAC reader, you should be able to burn it to a CD at work and bring it home. ---------------------- The DoD Antivirus Software License Agreement with McAfee and Symantec allows active DoD employees to utilize the antivirus software for home use. Home use of the antivirus products will not only protect personal PCs at home, but will also potentially lessen the threat of employees bringing malicious logic into work and compromising DoD networks. DoD military and civilian personnel can download free antivirus software for their home computers from the DoD Patch Repository website. Note that contractors are excluded from using the software at home or on any other system not belonging to the DoD. Additional Information is available through the AF Portal: HOME USE SOFTWARE: https://www.my.af.mi...1237B8FD0440136 Antivirus Software Can Now Be Downloaded at Home I found that not all of the hyperlinks on the AF Portal work. If you have trouble obtaining anti-virus software through AF channels, try this link: https://infosec.navy.mil<https://infosec.navy.mil/> AF Portal users may now download home use antivirus software at the links below from a non-.mil computer, including a home computer, equipped with a CAC reader. - Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1, Release Update 1 for Windows XP/ Vista/ 7 32-bit: https://www.my.af.mi...n_12.1.1000.zip - Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1, Release Update 1 for Windows XP / Vista/ 7 64-bit: https://www.my.af.mi...n_12.1.1000.zip - Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1, Release Update 1 for Mac https://www.my.af.mi...AC_12_1_RU1.zip - Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1, Release Update 1 for Linux https://www.my.af.mi...EP_12_1_RP1.zip - Symantec AntiVirus for Mac (pending) - Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1, Release Update 1 Release Notes: https://www.my.af.mi...EP12.1.1000.pdf - Symantec Endpoint Protection 12.1 Tools and Documents (pending) - McAfee VirusScan Home Use Option https://www.my.af.mi...G_1803_User.exe This site has McAfee anti-virus software for Mac 10.8: https://infosec.navy.mil<https://infosec.navy.mil/>
  18. Didn't make it, only copied it.
  19. AFPAM 34-1202, para 14.6 If your wing protocol is useless, go higher than the wing. There should be a protocol office in the NAF or MAJCOM, and they should have info for you. Also, try contacting the first historian up the chain (Wing, NAF, MAJCOM). Depending on how well they keep records, they may have anything from general info to actual scripts from the event. They will probably also want to document the ceremonies.
