Finance Problems
Is big blue paying for the move? It might not make sense to change your address. Based on my separation experience, I would continue with the BAH at your old location (if there is not a huge difference in cost of living).

USAA
If you are leaving USAA, where are you taking your business (besides Allstate)? Currently a USAA customer, but I think the customer service has gone downhill too. I like having everything in one place - checking, credit, insurance, and investments. Where should I go if I move on from them?

ANY problems need to be documented in case your problems flare up or worsen down the road.

More SARC briefings soon.
Wow. I thought all of the noseart was pretty tame.

SOS/ACSC information
Yes, you need them for Project X. Get your shit sewn on. Lots of families in the TLF on-base. Guys said the TLFs were smaller than the rooms that everyone else was staying in. TLFs were pretty nasty too. I would try a house rental on airbnb. Might be a bit more money than you want to spend though.

Sweet, so if you like living in the middle of nowhere, with nothing to do, with no job prospects for your spouse, enjoy hanging out with only people that are in the military, then Clovis is the place for you.

DTS -> Next Generation Travel System - Ideas?
This. I have been an RA for three years. All of my new Airmen are technical savvy, "digital natives," to use a term the media enjoys. I have to sit down with them to show them how to use DTS and it is unbelievably painful. I usually apologize for how non-intuitive the system is. Paper voucher vs. DTS? The paper voucher is normally much quicker. Even if someone is really smart on DTS, a voucher can take longer on DTS. Just had a guy get back from a 10-stop TDY. He spent hours on DTS completing his voucher and on the phone with the DTS gurus. Multiple bugs and errors from DTS while he was trying to complete this thing. It was a mess. I could have completed it on paper in about 15 minutes.

VA Loans
I just closed a loan with NB of Kansas City today upon the recommendation of this board and a check with a couple of bros. The experience was very good. I didn't use Dave, I worked with someone else who provided great customer service. I refinanced and the whole process took about a month. It probably could have gone even quicker. I worked with the same customer service agent the whole time. There was never a time where she didn't answer a question/respond within 24 hours. Here were the terms: Charges: Origination Charges: $515 Appraisal Fee: $200 Credit Report: $24.91 Flood Certificate: $14.00 Title Service: $1484.85 Recording Charges: $107.00 Total Fees: $2344.91 30 years @ 3.875% Our previous rate was 4.875%. This lowered our monthly payment by $117. PM me for more information and I'll send you the name of the person I worked with at the bank or any other information you'd like about my experience.
