It is in the reg. You pay it back for any unserved time...at the full rate. Sure, you got $18,750 due to the tax of 25% but you owe the full $25,000 back (if you don't serve the year, i.e. Get out the day after getting paid your latest installment).

$3.50/day per diem (full for the travel day in and out of theater). No Imminent Danger Pay unless flying over countries where it still exists...then it is on a per day basis. Still a combat zone tax exclusion area...that takes Congress to "fix." Family Separation pay if you have dependents. Don't remember how much the monthly Hardship Duty Pay was. Either $50, $100, or $150 a month.

If $3.50 OCONUS incidentals is not on your orders before you leave for the TDY...then you get regular incidentals. Meals are provided except for any duty-related missed meals. Travel days are full per diem. If you are chopped to AFCENT, then then $3.50 applies since it is on the CED orders. Once in CENTCOM, you only get $3.50 a day even on travel days except travel in and out of the AOR. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network Forums

My first NBKC loan was sold to Citi. It was mostly good (Citi can't calculate an escrow payment for shit though). My second was sold to CENLAR. There is a recent record of proceedings that said something along the lines that SASC told the AF they could go themselves if they wanted $60K or even $48K and they should feel lucky they got $35K. Something else about how they wanted info on QOL fixes because they didn't think throwing money at it would fix the retention.

McCain had the 65% BAH or whatever it was mentioned in the article. He never had the 100% that we are used to. I remember when my BAH in NorCal was ~700/mo and my apartment in the ghetto was $1100/mo. The next year was better, but that first year was tough. For comparison, my BAH in MS during UPT (same year) was $640/mo.

There are also a lot of MAF O-5 Sq/CC types who are very challenged to get the toilet bowl because they spent so much time on staff / at school they never got the hours or the gate months to earn their final set of wings.
