LAF IPZ is 54 or 58 percent. I can't remember but I can look it up at work tomorrow.

Good experiences with online masters programs?
If you want options...your best bet is the ACSC online masters program (OLMP). Very low time requirement and very easy to work into a demanding flying schedule, squadron job, and deploying multiple times a year. It will also cost you zero dollars, unless you decide to buy the course books, and then it will cost you about $80 total. It will also leave you available to get a good MBA or other MS/MA as desired for post-AF employment.

C-130 TOLD Calculator
The only significant difference between steel and CF brakes is brake fade as temperature increases. Steel brakes fade. CF brakes do not fade...though they do spontaneously combust at around 5000 C. I got to see some neat destructive testing of aviation CF brakes at the BF Goodrich factory a few years back. More than 9 million ft-lbs of rotational energy stopped in a few seconds by a single brake stack. Pretty impressive.

Pilot watches
Sounds like a Wingman would be a good fit for a "dressy" watch. https://www.wingmanwatch.com Might consider picking up a used Rolex or Omega...but you'd want to make sure you weren't getting a knockoff.

They're not required to let you in if you are only traveling CONUS. There is an exceptions link.

Hearing DQ
Always, always, always wear your glasses for the depth perception test. You are only screwing yourself if you don't. There is zero requirement to be able to do it without your glasses if you have glasses.

I haven't seen it, but I did hear a good rumor about a 13-year UPT ADSC being floated for discussion.

I'm not a school grad, but usually the small school opportunities like that are more selective in who they take.

At the A-word. Just ask Butters. But you have to do Emerald Coast to qualify.

VA Loans
So I'm curious about this. What's a juice worth the squeeze estimate on moving that APR rate. Like if it's multiple thousands of dollars to refinance what kind of percentage change for say a 200 or 300k principle is needed to make it worth while. I'm asking because I only got into the 300k house 7 months ago on a zero down VA loan and I keep getting adds from other financial institutions offering lower rates. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Three years ago, I did a VA IRRRL with these guys and the lender credit covered the refinance fees and put some money in my escrow account. I had been there one year and the new loan was around $270K on an original zero down loan of $296K. Dropped from 4.25% to 3.25% and saved a ton of money. YMMV.

Promotion and PRF Information
Assume 2,500 eligibles, therefore 2,325 total promotable at 93% rate. Assume no DNPs. At 70% DP rate, 1,750 get a DP. Assume 100% promotion for DPs for simplicity. The remaining pool is 2,325-1,750=575 eligible with a P. 575/2500=23% of the total promoted had a P. 575/750=76% of those with a P were promoted.

I just saw the first "yay got promoted" post in my Facebook feed. Apparently at least one CC is notifying people pre-release.
