  1. Using the iPhone app. Puctures don’t work at all in posts. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile app
  2. Leadership doesn’t need to ask. A commander can get the list of fully, partially, and non-vaccinated individuals without violating HIPAA. There is a readiness need, as some sunny locations allow fully vaccinated people to skip ROM.
  3. They took it from a friend of mine who was 10ish months short of his ADSC at 20. He probably could have kept it if he called the bonus office and explained it was non-voluntary separation. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile app
  4. KC-10 is approved for A-RNP with RNAV holding, offsets, and RF. The only things it can’t do are RNP AR, LNAV/VNAV, and LPV. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile app
  5. Props. Also, it reads like it could have been written this year given the lack of progress the AF has made on navigation...and the discussions of T-6 GPS problems, etc. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile app
  6. In all fairness, pre-2016(ish) the AIM/AIP and other FAA information said what you remembered. But it all changed a few years back which is why we changed. Much to the chagrin of UPT instructors. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile app
  7. Odd. That’s not what our AF reg says.
  8. You can be RNAV without GNSS. You can be RNAV with INS only or even just NAVAIDs depending on how the system is certified. You need RNAV to proceed direct to a fix. You don’t need GNSS to do it. The key concept is a system that allows you to navigate to a steer point without having to resort to the pencil method...and it must be one that is certified for the airspace in which it is used.
  9. Yet doctors don’t have to fight for pro pay every year...
  10. My info was pre-2017 when Aero was being developed in-house at the NGA. It’s sad that the DoD paid $17M for that junk app when the ForeFlight+Jeppesen data contract for the entire DoD is several million less. Aero is shit. The only thing it does decently is Giant Reports and that is only because the NGA intentionally cut ForeFlight out of getting Giant Reports from the NGA.
  11. DoD did not pay a dime to develop Aero. That is an internal product developed by some NGA guys on their own time. It is not a program and has no official recognition or funding. That’s a large part of why it is a giant steaming pile of shit. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile app
  12. How did you not know RATM and Tom Morello were far left? Did you know Tom is black? Because people also stop listening to RATM when they learn he’s black.
  13. How’s that working out for Hong Kong? Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile app
  14. As someone who currently identifies as a pregnant female pilot, of course! But seriously...yes, it is important for the same reason that it is important that my daughters can look at female astronauts, the Vice President, and other women in any career field and imagine themselves in that position.
  15. Not sure how much time is on the clock but that does sound interesting.
  16. Who gives a shit? It makes people’s lives better and should have happened a long time ago. C’mon, man. Go drink some Ensure.
  17. Did you even read one post above yours before ranting about preggo flight bags? No, most CEAs do not wear OCPs. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile app
  18. The maternity uniform updates are good. Just like the hair changes for women are good. Just like the grassroots effort (following the hair changes) to men’s shaving are going to be good. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile app
  19. MyCS the troll finally got banned (again).
  20. I think you mean “chocked.” Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile app
  21. Man, that woman had some hella bad side effects. She became a man, an AF Col, ed up every decision she made after retiring, and is now lining for being the queen again. Lame.
  22. The reflective belt insanity mostly started from the Camp Andy forklift incident...which would have still happened with a reflective belt because the forklift was not being driven correctly. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile app
  23. It doesn’t take much longer to TERPS a conventional approach either. It is also done remotely by the MAJCOM that “owns” that airfield (not your MAJCOM). They can’t and don’t flight check it which is why the Giant Reports ask for crews to do a flyability check. In fact, the most common reason why an approach never makes it into DoD FLIP after the MAJCOM does the review is publication requires a flyability check and no one ever does them. Boy, I wish I knew something about FTIP reviews, procedure validation, US TERPS, PANS-OPS, MIPS, comparison reviews, accreditation, the DoD HN Accepted list, or any of this. Thanks for the lesson. GPS approaches are easy to work with...until I shut off your access to GPS from the ground.
