Unless you read everything, you have tons of free time. It was one of my bosses that told me, "It's only a lot of reading if you read it all..." Plenty of vacation/down time as well. At least more than I've ever had.
  2. Seriously? NK brings it on themselves. You can't go attacking people because ideologically you disagree. I'm disappointed they're caving.
  3. I was just with the French for the last three years, huge surprise they got that thing to fly!

If you have guys that want to bring guns to SOS, PM me with a .mil address and they can store them at my house as long as they have a lock on the case. I have older kids that know better, but rather be safe... Posted from the NEW Baseops.net App! Well now you've jinxed it. Posted from the NEW Baseops.net App!
  5. This is a ridiculous conversation. The states that might be watching this aren't watching to secede from the country. It's more likely states like Colorado, Washington, and California are watching because they'll split into two states because they are so heavily divided. Liberal population centers are driving everyone else in those states crazy because they aren't represented at all. Just my 2 cents. Posted from the NEW Baseops.net App!
  6. I guarantee you there are a couple of provinces in China watching this, and that the CCP is pissed it's happening because they're already areas giving them fits... Posted from the NEW Baseops.net App!
  7. Why? It makes sense. You're part of the problem. Posted from the NEW Baseops.net App!

Yup, I was with them for over 14 years. I was blown away by how much cheaper Geico was. $400 a year is significant! Posted from the NEW Baseops.net App!

Just spent a couple of hours on the phone between usaa and geico. Switched for auto policy, but kept renter's because geico was more expensive. Saved $400+/year on cars. Posted from the NEW Baseops.net App!
  12. Just came off a 3 year exchange with the French. They used to have mandatory service. Worthless, wasted time. Everyone will tell you exactly what's been said. They weren't around long enough to be of any use except for being babysat. If the French can even figure out that mandatory service isn't good, it surprises me to me Americans extolling its illusory virtues! Posted from the NEW Baseops.net App!
  13. That was awesome! Posted from the NEW Baseops.net App!
  14. You're often pretty spot on, but this comes off as "I played the game, so you should too." Whether you meant it to or not, which I doubt you did. I had the exact same attitude he did, got promoted and sent to school in res. some of you have the erroneous belief that you can only "work hard" if you get the extra AAD on top of everything else. I was ready to be RIFed, but I had worked hard minus the AAD. My bosses saw that, and took care of me. I recognize that may be rare, but it still happens. No exec jobs either. All he really said was he refused to play their game and is ready to accept the consequences. What's wrong with that? People like him will change the game, not those saying "play it safe, get your degree anyway." Those people will ensure things keep going the way they are. 15. That's what perpetuates the problem. Just stop! Posted from the NEW Baseops.net App!
  16. This needs to be kept up to dat as much as possible. I have no access to portal for the next month+, and I'd like to know if this is legit or not. Thanks for letting us know! Posted from the NEW Baseops.net App!

  21. I was willing to be cool with the little stuff at first, but yeah, there are so many big ticket items he could fix with policy immediately, yet he doesn't. I'll take the little stuff, but overall he's dropping the ball when he leaves those big ticket items untouched. There's a difference between him saying, "we need to do things smarter in regards to AADs", and actually changing the regs/policy, and not allowing wg/cc, etc to make the policy more restrictive. Sorry, random Sunday morning ramble. Pick any other number of examples... Posted from the NEW Baseops.net App!
