  1. I'm pro rule of law as well, and opposed to it taking years to convict a murderer. However, the answer to defending Americans' right to voice their opinions free from the risk of death is not to become China or nK in our execution of justice (i.e. a one day trial). Televising the execution might help. Especially if they request a firing squad.
  2. Here's hoping he can have the same effect on the morale of the violently liberal professors at A&M that he had on AD when he was CSAF!
  3. I'll bite. I get it, another renaming of a department so someone can put their name on something and say "hey, I did that!" I don't disagree this is exhausting in and of itself. However, I think a change of mentality is needed. Everyone is telling us to prepare for war, and they're even throwing out dates. Yet, at all echelons no one seems to be acting accordingly. If that's really what we're collectively supposed to be focused on then we need to get in the right mental state. Is a name change going to do that, no. If the name change is backed by actual action, forcing people to make decisions at all levels w.r.t that end goal, then I agree. We need to get on the same page as a military.
  4. The bobs dont have the balls to publicly acknowledge they can't produce their own requirement of 1500 pilots/year with our current resources and lack of retention. Instead of standing up and telling the giga-bobs this fact, they're massively cutting the training you received to produce more, drastically less experienced, pilots to keep the slides green. For old bastard reference: https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=giga
  5. Do you work at Textron/own a bunch of stock there? Just curious because you make it a point to recommend the USAF buy their aircraft a lot.
  6. Well if you've ever briefed/executed/debriefed with Italians you know exactly how it's gonna go.
  7. A lot of anthem singers that didn't stick to their timing have caused many a "shitty flyover"

  9. This is why I don't think it's more nuanced. Has he broken the law in relation to women in the military, no? Does he hold an opinion contrary to common Western values, yes. Your Mormon example is apples to oranges. I'm talking about a leader that holds beliefs contrary to common western values. In your example an individual wouldn't do the job, easy kill. I'm talking about a commander with a specific set of values that doesn't align with common Western beliefs.
  10. What about allowing devout Muslims or Mormons in command positions? Both of those religions view women (and non-whites for Mormons) in a way that is contrary to modern western thinking. I don't think the DoD is barring followers of those faiths from leadership positions.
  11. During a fam ride in the C model it's set to NORM the entire time.
  12. Egress training is required and so is a pilot brief prior to step. This is a prime example why the seat sequencer is set the way that it is for fam flyers. Hopefully she didn't hurt anything more than her pride...
  13. When it comes to washing ppl out I can understand doing due diligence. I'm more curious if the number of hooks in B-course/MQT are increasing, decreasing, or staying the same. I'm concerned the standards/CTS aren't being fully upheld because IPs feel bad for studs because they're getting shorted at UPT.
  14. Are the B-course / Ops IPs on here that see the quality of pilots decreasing hooking more students (to include MQT rides), giving them extra rides, or kicking the can etc?
  15. Yeah, you're not gonna live that down..
  16. Bro, the hog dudes have some of the gucciest shit these days. They're running scorpion whilst the rest of us are using JHMCS or no HMCS (raptors) at all.
  17. Quoted for hilarity.

You lost me, what's that in freedom units?
  19. Did the general public know of the affairs during those two presidencies, no. Their indiscretions were well known in the media, especially Kennedy, and they were not held to a "higher moral standard." All three presidents were still greatly admired after their affairs became public knowledge. If you don't like the president example (because all three are Democrats I suppose) then let's use MLK. If the public is going to hold someone to a higher morale standard, it's going to be a preacher. However, no one cares he was an adulterer. Back to the original point, the American public doesn't hold someone to a higher bar due to their office/position. All you need to be is popular with a significant portion of the population and any transgressions can easily be forgotten. Speaking of forgotten...the "mentally impaired" portion of my previous quote is the major issue I have with octogenarians being in office...

Quality control is a plausible explanation why others arent able to duplicate in significant numbers. Maybe a part in the safety mechanism is prone to excessive wear leading to failure. Either way, if this is a failure of Sig they need to be held accountable.
