  1. Of course, there's Biden's false claims. Just posting for balance, of course: https://www.cnn.com/2024/04/19/politics/fact-check-biden-pennsylvania-campaign-swing

  2. [Movie Guy Voice] He stood tall on the Maginot Line. He lead the attack on Pearl Habor. Later, he fought off waves of Viet Cong during Tet all by himself. He ended Gulf Wars I and II. Donald J Trump, war hero, bone spurs and all. Because if he said it, you know it's true. https://www.nytimes.com/2025/08/20/world/middleeast/trump-war-hero-netanyahu-iran.html

  3. I haven't used it enough to give you an honest answer on that. The fan blows into the chamber, so while I do expect some aerosolized grease to hit it, depending on how they designed the air intake it could stay relatively clean. The thing gets hot as fuck. I was originally going to get some sort of infrared grill, but those have gone out of style so all that are left are the extremely expensive Pro units. Since we aren't planning on having this grill for a super long time, I didn't want to spend the money on something I wasn't sure would integrate into the new home build. But cranking this thing up to 600° with that fan is absolutely hot enough for anything I need.

  4. When the wife wants a grill, I buy a grill. Saw this on sale at Costco and decided to give it a shot. The cocaine budget at Shark/Ninja must be off the charts, but they do occasionally knock it out of the park. https://www.ninjakitchen.com/products/ninja-flexflame-propane-grill-outdoor-cooking-system-stainless-steel-zidPG301B1 It's kinda sorta a gigantic air fryer. It gets insanely hot because of the fan, and while it won't come close to the heat output of charcoal, at 600° with that fan blowing at full speed, it cooks *fast* I haven't gotten the pizza stone yet but the reviews on YouTube are promising. I'm hoping the griddle works well, because pancakes in a skillet are a PITA It's cool having the ability to set a specific temp, though I'll have to retest all my recipes and techniques to adapt them to the convection. The smoker function is neat, but it doesn't give a very smoky flavor to meats. It will however cold smoke very effectively. I have a traeger and honestly it doesn't put on a super strong smoky flavor, which is fine because both my wife and I prefer mild smoke flavor. The lid is insulated, which is a nice touch. Anyone have a bat shit crazy ninja appliance they love? The Creami is a family favorite.

  8. Police in Kentucky say Stephanie Carlquist poured salt into the engine of her ex-boyfriend’s car, glitter in the AC vent, slashed a tire, cracked the windshield, cracked the rearview mirror & shattered the car’s radio screen. She apologized & told him she was “stressed out.” https://www.wkyt.com/2025/08/16/ky-woman-accused-pouring-salt-exs-car-engine-glitter-ac/ Cue Biff-T in 3...2...1...

  10. “Hey Vlad check out my Raptors… they don’t have drywall screws in their wings.” There was more 5th generation air power on that Ramp and in the Air over that exchange than in Putin’s entire Air Force and he knows it. This was a reminder that not every NATO entity is full of smoke, maybe rethink the way you looking at Latvia and Estonia. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  11. I think we need to stop kidding ourselves that anyone in senior leadership is concerned with actual skillsets or experience. What is happening is very simple: We can't maintain the jets we have and we can't acquire new ones in a reasonable timeframe. At the same time we must keep the slides green at all costs. The only answer left (short of offloading the entire operation to the civilian world) is to retcon what a UPT grad is. It costs AETC nothing to churn out crap and dump it into b-courses across the other MAJCOMs. B-course instructors will still wash out the weak swimmers, but at that point finding them a new home is an ACC/AMC/AFSOC/AFGSC problem. AETC's hands are clean (on paper) and the brass at Randolph have figured this out. They can even pitch the UPT cuts as #innovation and cost saving to keep the (even more out of touch) GOs in the Pentagon happy.

  12. Problem is when people in support (not that all space/cyber is support) start believing that they are actually warfighters, they forget that their job is to support the warfighter. When you lose track of how you relate to the mission, you lose track of what your real priorities should be. I don't care if you're turning wrenches, approving GPC purchases, or deploying space sharks with laser beams, you will be better at your mission when you understand how it fits into the overall mission of killing people and breaking things.
