I don't know if this question has been asked, but after looking at Riddler's pics, I realized how small the DA-20 actually is. I head to Pueblo at the end of July and my question is: any tall guys have problems fitting in the airplane? I'm 6' 4" and 205 pounds and was wondering if I will be able to fit in the cockpit! Anyone have info on this? WxMan

I don't ever use AF Portal, but I recently heard that there is a way to add HARM to your workspace. That way you can see all of your AFORMS stuff (ground/flying events/hours). Does anyone know if this is true or not? If so, how do you add it to your portal workspace? Thanks, Techsan

Is the "O" for "Observation"? Is it generally for FAC's? Is there anything different about the OA-10 than there is about the A-10? I've never heard of the 310th guys flying the OF-16... Cheers! -Stuck

We keep hearing RUMINT of a possible upcoming TAMI-21 for WSO's. I don't know if there is any truth at all to this but just wondering if anyone else has heard of it. Thanks!

what exactly does AFPC mean when they say I cannot be released? do they mean I can never leave my current airframe, or that right now I can't leave the airframe and i should ask again later? I have another unit that i want to go to and they want me, and despite having 3.5 years time on station, AFPC won't let me go. so i don't know if i should try again, or if this is a permanent thing; anyone else face a similar situation?

I had a couple of questions for guys/gals at Corpus or who have been through their before. 1. How many T-44's and how many TC-12's are in the two units there? 2. Does the TC-12 have any type of glass cockpit? 3. How many T-44C's does VT-31 have at this point?

I have to give a briefing about active duty at LLAB but the problem is I am still a cadet and know very little. Listed below are some questions that I have received from cadets around my detachment. I was wondering if anyone could help answer some of these. Any information is appreciated and beneficial. Thanks. 1. What are steps that we should be taking now in order to prepare for our transition into the Air Force after graduation? 2. Are there any websites or helpful resources that we can use to research bases and other information on our own? 3. Will we receive a mentor/sponsor once on base or are we on our own to figure out what we need to do? 4. When do you rep…

Quick question....I was an enlisted aircrew member and I am off to AMS in the near future and then off to UPT. I read AFI 36-2903 and all it says about wings is that they are mandatory. Do I wear them on my service dress before I earn my Pilot's wing's or are they a no-go?

I was laid off from my job a little over a year ago. I am going back into the reserves as a flight engineer. I have finished my physical and everything and just waiting to hear back, but the recruiter sent me an e-mail stating that i need to fill out paperwork for my security clear and she said if I have marks on my credit that they need to be explained. My thing is that the economy is crap and i really only have knocks on my credit from my student loans. Will this prevent me from getting in? Thanks

Just a quick question for any women currently in training at UPT - I'm heading off to Columbus in the near future to start training, and read in the student guide that: Does this mean that only short hair is allowed? I can't see any other way for hair to be "unbound" and still meet requirements. I'd love to know some real-life answers, as if I'm going to be cutting my hair, it might as well be before OTS : ) Thanks!

A friend of mine just got his commercial ASEL. Soon after he got a job in Hawaii towing gliders...or so he thought. Turns out that the FBO really needed him to fly Japanese tourists in gliders. I asked him if he would start to tow soon. He didn't know when he would start towing. He said that he makes more flying the gliders. I asked him if this would help his progression toward an airline, cargo job, etc. He said that he could count the glider time in his "total time". I don't doubt that, question is for all you airline guys out there, how is glider time regarded in the industry? Thanks, -ifrflyer

Many units are able to keep their UPT graduates on steady Active Duty orders to continue their training requirements while they sit and wait to become fully qualified while in the training pipeline! Recent message from the Guard Bureau states: Those trainees who do not have training scheduled within 30 days of finishing their UPT will be cut off of Active Duty Days due to a BIT or otherwise known as "Break in Training!" This is a WARNING SHOT, meaning it has not been put in effect yet. It could become law in a few days, a month or two, or never see the light of day if they sit on it! But, I'm just relaying info just in case you think you're safe until your qualificatio…

I asked C-21 Pilot about the mission and lifestyle of a C-21 pilot and this is the informative response I got...Enjoy! ------------------------------------------------ The C-21 is essentially a Learjet 35A. There are some minor differences, and they are all up in the cockpit. The plane was bought from Gates Lear back in 1984 (all models are 1984). The C-21 has a few mods that stock Lear 35s won't have. They all have a Universal MFD that displays nav data, TCAS targets, wx radar and terrain/TAWS data. They also have an EVSI that displays TCAS climb information as well as TCAS traffic. The C-21 has a Universal UNS-1B flight management system that, in my opinion, is muc…
