  2. I just checked VMPF and it says I’m going to Columbus for UPT with dates from 10 Nov 26 to 28 Apr 27 under Projected Training! Not exactly sure when I start IPT tho. Hope everyone’s finding some good news today :)
  3. Today
  4. This is good to hear. There were rumors last year that students were finishing IPT with just multi-engine time, no certificate.
  5. Seems like I've seen this movie before

Apparently James Earl Jones was a prolific gun collector, and owned some rare firearms such as this!
  7. Surprised this isn't getting more attention. Maybe it's BS. Drone was actually a party baloon

  9. I figure some folks in here might still get notifications for this board like I do for the FY26 one… if so, can anyone that’s been through IPT speak to the different locations and potential differences in training syllabi? Us FY26 selects are curious as we wait impatiently for assignments. Thanks!
  10. The original date on the email for assignments was NLT 28 Feb so im guessing in the next week or so as we get closer to the end of the month. I think they might be also waiting on some folks getting their medical waivers from MFS. Some insight for IPT from a buddy who just finished at Peach Tree: Those with ratings will be on an accelerated timeline and not all IPT locations are standardized in training. Some will do PPL, SEL and MEL instrument, and MEL whereas others will just do PPL, SEL instrument, and MEL for example. They also worked 6 days/week! Hope this helps!
  11. Curious how much longer itll be until the rest of us get our assignments seeing as its been over a week since those initial ones dropped.
  12. A VERY interesting after-action debrief to be sure...
  13. Yeah I have a buddy who is there and was able to find out my location and I also got an email from the transition flight Lt that’s working there with in processing stuff and confirmation of dates. Also asking me to confirm when I would arrive to Columbus

  16. You'll PCS to your UPT base, in-process then TDY for IPT. Similar to how it was if you didnt have a PPL and went to IFT except now everyone goes to IPT and its 5 months not 1-2
  17. No, we won’t. It sounds like you can strategically take leave when you get to your UPT base to try to be slotted in an IPT class at a different location, but that still may not work in your favor/may not be approved. It’s a TDY from your UPT base.
  18. Is IPT a TDY from the UPT base? Or do you go en route to your base?

It's funny but suing anyone in the federal government as an individual is usually futile. It seems the only time a federal employee is considered at fault as an individual is if it's a violation of the Anti-Deficiency Act. I'm sure most on here remember a briefing on that at some point in their careers.
  20. So we don't find our IPT location when we get our RIPs just UPT? How was your buddy able to pull that for you?

  22. 1 and 4. Heavy GPS jamming in the area as of a few hours ago. Edit* It was a cartel drone breach. Threat is down.

Supposedly ATF main already corrected the issue but it shows the bias still int he system.
  24. “Special security reasons” Could mean... A national security event A high‑level VIP movement A classified military operation (Fort Bliss & White Sands Missile Range are nearby) A credible threat involving aircraft or border-region security So, in other words, no one has a fucking clue!
  25. So what’s going on in El Paso? Yahoo NewsUS halts flights at Texas airport on Mexico border for 's...By Akanksha Khushi and Shubham Kalia Feb 11 (Reuters) - The U.S. has halted all flights to and from El Paso International Airport in Texas for "special security reasons," the U.S.
  26. Japanese, I believe. I'm sure very few care, but the Vietnamese jets never had the air refueling probes on their jets, as far as I know. FYI: that's the South Vietnamese roundel on the fuselage of both of our jets We are hoping to have a cool A-37 surprise for the warbird world later in 2026. We shall see.

Would be interesting if the dude filed a lawsuit against the ATF and the individual that denied it. Might give other bureaucrats pause when they're about to deny someone their rights if they know that they might lose their house. Imagine any other right being treated like the 2nd... "no, sir, I don't consent to you searching my house because it is my right to not consent." "Sorry, but simply exercising your right doesn't justify exercising your right, so we're going to search your house."

  29. I have a buddy who was able to find out my IPT location and it’s in PeachTree city near Atlanta Georgia!
