The coon ratted her out.

That was definitely a power trip on full display. Some serious personal anti motorcycle bias as well.

Right in your backyard...

Simply unbelievable...and your sheriff has been mum on the investigation for months even though all charges were dropped.

Really want to see the outcome of the lawsuit.

P.S. I don't live in that county. Mine is so much better🙄

The lawsuits don't do shit.  Folks get a bit of money sometimes but the cops aren't paying it so it doesn't affect them in the slightest.

This reminds me of a few experiences (absolute fucking retards) in my AF career

Watch the full story...they tried to cover it up!

There is another one out there where the cop did something similar WITHOUT his lights on and slammed into another car that happened to be driving in the next lane.  To this day the police department is refusing to pay for the damage claiming qualified immunity.

Nightmare shit.  This dude is ruining lives to make himself look good.

Yeah pretty f’d up

i read a court appearance counts as overtime and some are “gaming” the system and can clear $300k as a cop

Paywalled - what’s the gist of a false DUI arrest? I assume one would only make it as far as a blood test at the precinct before being let loose. So, what does the cop gain from that?

Read the stories in the article.  Really ed up the amount of lying involved.  Dudes were charged with more for having kids in the car.  One guy saved a motorcyclists leg after a crash he witnessed. Said cop thinks he smells like beer and arrests him on the scene. Still gotta lawyer up and go through due process.

This might be racist?

I don't hate cops, my brother is a cop, but cases like this clearly demonstrate why qualified immunity needs to end or at a minimum be seriously modified.

Several layers to this case and the one that disturbs me the most is what happened while in custody.  They supervisor running the detention facility tells him if he doesn't shut up he is going to get punched in the face...he says it several times AND tells the guy we have cameras and audio.  Qualified immunity was invoked and approved by both the lower level federal court and the circuit...thank god SCOTUS stepped in.

Worth the squeeze?

That video has Little Rock painted all over it.  From the guy on the bike to the reckless endangerment and emotive and aggressive unprofessionalism of the cop.   But hey, the biker started it, so what's a little more reckless endangerment matter if it works, right?

That vid has been around for awhile.  If you're rooting for the biker, he should have taken the Maumelle exit at around 5:00 into the vid.  If you're rooting for the trooper, the force to the grass actually worked.  I'd have to see a few more tries to make a judgement call on that technique.  As for after the stop, well....
