I don't get it. I know what the A-10 does, and I know vaguely what CAP does... the two don't seem related beyond involving airplanes.

There was a guy who posted here several years ago named CAP_Soft_Sandy who tried to tell us how hardcore CAP was, how he sat alert all the time, how he was ready to fight back with his C-182, etc. Comedic gold from what many guessed was a rabid troll but was ridiculous all the same.

Well, there is an A-10 UAV being gen'd up as a thunderstorm bird...so I guess a CAP A-10 is just the next logical step.

the tenuous link is the callsign SANDY and what that entails. CSAR and SAR. I agree this is ridiculous.

Already seen the integration talks at ACC... We thought it was a great joke.

They are all very excited about being called "airmen" now

I wanted to post a link to Slim Pickens saying "well I am depressed" in Blazing Saddles, but it comes right after he mentions the irony of the genocide of native americans and their skin tone as a juxtaposition to the african sheriff's skin tone... I'm actually interested to know how that would go over with the mods...
