July 20, 201312 yr I was just there yesterday. It was fooking windy too with +/- 10 on final. Found out some of my passengers had yacked, when we arrived at the gate.
July 20, 201312 yr What kind of wind restrictions/taxi limits do you guys have anyway? Taint none. But it's a good idea to tie them down in windy spots like Vegas and, evidently, Vermont.

July 21, 201312 yr Taint none. But it's a good idea to tie them down in windy spots like Vegas and, evidently, Vermont. The couple times I've had somebody suggests we just tie down the fleet instead of going through the trouble of hangering them for forecast winds (typically some new E4) I show them a picture on my phone of a pair of wings still chained down with the middle of the plane missing and tell them to go find somebody with a tug license. July 21, 201312 yr I love how the camera operator had zero SA about the tilted Fighting Falcon....just kept on filiming the B-1 takeoff roll. Cheers, Cap-10
July 21, 201312 yr Was there a B-1 near? It cracks me up that the guy filming the whole things continues to pan towards the runway to record the B-1's takeoff almost as though the mishap he just filmed never happened. Edit: Cap-10 beat me to the punch; great minds think alike. Edited July 21, 201312 yr by Muscle2002
July 22, 201312 yr That guy was lucky he didn't go into a flat spin and head out to sea after getting caught in the B-1's jet wash!

July 22, 201312 yr Nah, it just proves how little people care about the LGPOS. I'm not sure why you have to bring little people into this.
July 23, 201312 yr Nah, it just proves how little people care about the LGPOS. No, the cameraman was just amazed to actually see a B-1 get airborne given it's reliability track record.
