After Cyr's memorial friends and family made a push to his favorite restaurant off base for some food and good stories. Chick-Fil-A was notified in advance of the crowd for the next day, they closed the resturaunt to the public and their headquarters covered the costs of everyone's meal. In response to the tragic loss of the MC-12 warriors, the River Rats, in conjunction with the Air Warrior Courage Foundation (AWCF), have established a college savings 529 plan to accept tax deductible contributions for SSgt Richard Dickson's daughter's college education. Anyone wishing to honor SSgt Dickson, may contribute individual funds providing 529 College Savings plan for his daughter. There are two ways to give and all donations are tax deductible. I know it meant a lot for the 427th and I'm sure it meant a lot to his family to know how much he meant to his squadron. Also, SSgt Dickson was greeted with the honor he deserves when he arrived at Beale last week. He had a line of airmen saluting him and his family from the flight line out to the gate when he arrived home. Them them! According to the results of the investigation, the cause of the mishap was a stall due to insufficient airspeed, while in a climbing left turn, which developed into a left spin followed quickly by a left spiral, from which the crew was unable to recover. The MC-12 crew was in a routine, left-turn orbit when they encountered exceedingly cloudy conditions that impeded visibility and masked the horizon.
