The timeline between the board and estimated release date is very similar to 09’s timeline, however that was due to big Air Force not trusting their senior raters and re-scrubbing the records. Looks like they are still figuring out this 100% thing.

Just watched it, can’t wait to watch the temper tantrums from the left!

How does outplacement from school work? Is it based highly on your staff vector or is it based on your performance in school? Once people go to school the whole career process thereafter seems like secret squirrel magic.

Strong recommendation for the metro (enclave), if you are single, lots of attractive med student ladies there. Now that the former rape bridge is lit up, easy walk downtown.

100% go hercs. You won’t regret it. You get to do all the cool tactical stuff but plenty of drone time at the FLs en route to a 5 star hotel. Almost every herc pilot is airdrop qualified out of the get go whereas only certain C-17 units airdrop. Both the C-17 and C-130 are incredible aircraft but I’m obviously biased. Btw, 100A low levels are rare...both times I did it were during Weapons School sorties. 300A is standard though and a blast.

Everyone likes to make fun of cyber but the effects that they bring to the fight these days are potent. Most of the discussion is not appropriate for this forum but rest assured cyber will play a huge role in the next major war.

Commanders are dropping like flies this year

There has been an insidious infection of the military by social justice warriors for some time now. If we lose the next war, heaven forbid, you can thank the touchy feely PC cowards. -
Seems that way. I totally get working staff prior to going back to command an ops unit, but I have a hard time seeing value added in ACSC besides the box to check. Any IDE grads on here care to share whether it was actually valuable for your leadership development and career beyond the checked box?

We have not always treated India as an ally. Starting from the beginning of the Cold War and exacerbated by Nixon/Kissinger, we tended to side with Pakistan instead of India. India then cozied up to USSR, hence why they have MiGs. Trump is probably the first US president to flip this viewpoint, but it has largely been rhetoric. It will be interesting if this shift in foreign policy manifests itself now.

1. The quick turn is definitely useful 2. The 4th mitigation is the missing one, thanks!!
-
1. We mostly use it for pre flight planning, making sure we won’t have any issues landing or taking off from a runway, looking at 3 engine out issues and break energy. 2. If the TOLD app could include the required mitigations necessary from the 1-1 that would be absolutely awesome. Overall, right now it has been a tremendous app for planning so thanks!!

Interesting to see all the people quiet when Obama abused executive privilege now up in arms about Trump using executive power..see how that works? The difference is this time it is actually to protect Americans from the out of control illegal immigration flood.

That PR stunt is what is wrong with the Air Force and society. If women are equal to and as capable as men, then why does this warrant celebration? -
Sorry let me be more clear: the only rated O-4s I have seen as DOs are school selects, or are most likely getting picked up for school. Of those, most will likely go to staff after. These are the people I’m referring to as shiny pennies (not in a bad way, but their careers are pretty much taken care of.) There are a few other 0-4 DOs but they are usually already 0-5 selects (may or may not be shiny pennies.)
-
Every rated* 0-4 I know of that is a DO is one of the shiny penny type that’s about to go to school / staff or is already an 0-5 select. Edit to include rated.

This is my confusion as well, how the hell is this middle of the road with multiple top tier strats? Sounds like the dude’s SR either doesn’t know what he is talking about or is playing games.

Shacked it. Let us also not forget that some people are against Trump’s ideas because they are fueled by their desire for him to fail. Look at Black Caucasus members like Lewis and Sheila Jackson Lee, they flat out admitted they didn’t vote for Trump’s criminal justice reform because they didn’t want him to succeed, even though the left has been asking for this for decades.

And Wing/CCs blatantly ignoring CSAF and SECAF guidance. Can’t blame fingers for this mess when his minions’ minions run this monkey show.

IDE in res? W/ DP?

According to a handful of Canadians at an ex, Trudeau has been decimating their military and training resources so they are trying to send some of their studs here.

I’ll answer your last question: because the GOP is not united. Some GOP senators / reps prefer to look cool by obstructing the President as opposed to working with him to move the agenda forward (I.e Flake, McCain, Collins). We call them RINOs, republican in name only. Oh and don’t forget the failure Mitt Romney and his desperate yet fact-less swing at the President. Political beliefs aside, establishment politicians on both sides are terrified of Trump because he is challenging the status quo. These establishment politicians have remained in power for so long that any changes in the status quo threaten their power and job security. Trump’s personal style/tweets/gaffes aside, at least he is an honest pragmatist.

Wtf are you talking about? Weapons School isn’t about “weapons” it is about creating expert tacticians who are proficient at integrating effects, you know, what we do when we actually go to war. Also, many AMC assets fly in the same MEZ as the pointy nose bretheren, so it makes sense to have proficient tacticians who understand how to mitigate those threats. So yes you are the stupid one for making that comment. Unfortunately, AMC leadership does horrible job at properly utilizing its patches. I’ve seen some improvements but still too many Wing Exec Patches.
-
Nah, WIC (AMC side) is to produce future wing execs and aide-de-camps.
