Hey, I'm glad they put the speed limit on the back gate road to 45 again.

Cannon AFB
Everyone knows that particular airplanes performance goes down as the suckage level of the place they're asked to go to goes up. Example, Peterson in the summertime, no problem. Operate out of Cannon, no can do.

AC's to Mildenhall?
Can't happen this way all the time but there have been several nonstop flights from FL. We took an H to Italy in 23.7. Depends on the crisis I guess. One of the justifications to put refueling on the gunships was to get to the fight in hours instead of days.

C-17 lands short at Dover
Yes it's valid. Was not disputing that.

C-17 lands short at Dover
To be fair IIRC the eng called go around twice on the Kuwait incident. In 22 years of flying I never called a go around. I brought things to the attention of the pilot that made them decide to go around a few times. Things like "We're lined up on the taxi way" or stuff like that. Makes sense, less people less chaos and CRM issues.

C-17 lands short at Dover
This started really growing in AFSOC shortly after it became a MAJCOM. In two years at Gp DOV I had five bosses run through just to get that stink on. One of them sent an email to all of us about how important it was for us to look good. Shiny boots, haircuts and all that. Nothing about airplanes. Holy shit, we wondered if we were in Stan Eval or SOS/PME school.

No parachutes on heavies
A parachute is like a gun. If you need one and don't have one you will probably never need one again. Several bailouts from AC-130s in the Viet Nam.

National Air Cargo 747 Crash at Bagram
No thanks. Those look like a gunner tied them down. Big fail I see is straps going across sharp edges. When those straps get pulled tight they are easy to cut.

Diversity AFI
So, will there be an Operational Diversity Management(ODM) form in the mission folder along with the ORM form?
