The Iran thread
Had 4 Kuwaiti’s in my UPT class (1987) 2 washed out, the other 2, bottom of the class, both got fighters in the KAF…… I flew the 1st Fighter Wing (F-15’s Langley) into Daharan 2 days after the Iraqis invaded Kuwait in Aug 1990….As we taxied in, there were rows of Kuwaiti A-4’s lined up on the ramp, with “Free Kuwait” stenciled on the fuselage…I asked why they weren’t attacking the Iraqi’s in Kuwait, and they said one of the pilots left for Cairo….

Former F-35 IP Treason
I believe the co-conspirator was a Marine pilot. Throughout these communications, Brown consistently stated his intent to train PRC military pilots in combat aircraft operations. In the resumé he prepared for his application, Brown wrote his “objective” as “Instructor Fighter Pilot.” A co-conspirator told Brown that he hoped Brown would be assigned to “my base, but otherwise you’ll go where is the local equivalent as the [U.S. Air Force] Weapon School.” Later, he stated to a co-conspirator that, upon his arrival in China, “Now…. I have the chance to fly and instruct fighter pilots again!” In December 2023, Brown traveled to China to begin his work training PRC military pilots. After his arrival, Brown answered question for three hours about the U.S. Air Force on his first day in the PRC and then, on his second day, prepared and presented a brief about himself for the PLAAF. Brown remained in China until he traveled to the United States in early February 2026. The charges against Brown follow similar charges filed against former U.S. Marine Corps pilot Daniel Edmund Duggan in the District of Columbia in September 2017. Duggan was charged with providing and conspiring to provide defense services to Chinese military pilots without authorization in violation of the Arms Export Control Act, as well as for conspiring to engage in international money laundering. Like Brown, Duggan received significant training during his career as a pilot in the U.S. military, then used that training for the benefit of the Chinese military. In particular, Duggan is alleged to have trained Chinese military pilots on the tactics, techniques, and procedures associated with takeoff from and landing on an aircraft carrier. Duggan was arrested in Australia in October 2022 and is currently pending extradition to the United States.

T-Bird down in CA - Pilot ejected safely
I was near San Bernardino when it happened, and was curious why the pilot wasn’t named after a few days..it’s the T-Birds, not a black program.

Why all the secrecy about the pilot?

Commanders are dropping like flies this year
Disgruntledemployee, Perhaps if you view Trump as a non-politician, it may help you warm up to him. He isn’t a politician, he’s not a smooth talker, he’s blunt, says what’s on his mind and often gets in a lot of trouble for it. But he’s a damned effective leader, rough around the edges for sure, but he gets things done! I’m sure. He’s also beholden to no man, doesn’t need money, and loves America. I can think of a lot worse people. George Marshall was a very good soldier, leader, and undoubtably an effective politician to earn all those stars.

The Next President is...
If Vance was on AF-2 the C-17 usually transports his limo’s and Secret Service Detail. Normal ops.

Dreamliner Crash
Everyone is so quick to embrace the suicide theory, however, I flew a sim session with a pilot who was very confused. He tried to shut off a hydraulic pump on the left side of the overhead panel (757) instead of a Pack, on his side. We chalked it up to the fact that he sucked and didn’t have the best reputation (He was a 63 yr old F/O). A few months later I heard he was medically retired and diagnosed with early onset Alzheimer’s disease. Perhaps this was a similar situation. Obviously a thorough investigation will possibly uncover this.

Why Did You Stay
I left active duty after my initial commitment, but flew another 21 years in the Reserves. I loved the Air Force, but I had a charmed life, in that I flew all 28 years. I never got caught up in the desk jobs, climbing the promotion ladder. Also, as it turned out I showed up at McGuire in 1987, and retired with a lot of my original squadron buds from active duty. Like a big family and I loved putting on a bag to go flying. Airline life is good, but it doesn’t compare.

Trump's Cabinet
The more democrats open their mouths, in the media, government, and even here, the dumber they sound.
-
Trump's Cabinet
My Opinion on this subject is the Democrats ultimate goal of opening the border was to flood the country with millions of new and perpetual DEMOCRAT VOTERS. Period. They saw what happened in the 2016 presidential election , when Trump won by a slim margin and wanted to insure that would never happen again! So, as others have said, they had no issue allowing people to illegally enter the country, but suddenly are all about following legal proceedings for each and every Illegal alien in order to be deported! Again, the courts can’t handle this flood of cases, so these illegally imported Democrat voters will be in our country for years to come, able to do whatever they please, but more importantly, They will be around to VOTE, and WHO DO YOU THINK THEY WILL VOTE FOR? Fast forward to 1:11:38

Trump's Cabinet
It amazes me that there are still military folks who will defend and promote a political party that includes socialists and communists. If Bernie Sanders ran against Trump, would they vote for Sanders? WTFO

Boeing to build NGAD Will build F-47
Some of you younger folks may not remember that the F-18, and the C-17 were criticized as boondoggles and worthless jobs programs. Every weapons system has some teething problems, let’s Hope Boeing minimizes them this time around.

Concept aircraft
The issue with the A-380 in the Cargo world (Fed-Ex/Ups) was twofold. It was going to take many years for Airbus to develope the freighter version, and the added weight of strengthening the floors to handle cargo made the jet unprofitable. A 777 Or MD-11 was a lot more profitable. Also the specialized equipment for loading a double decker was problematic too.

Mid-Air Collision in DC
Can any of you guys who are in the know, answer this question from a poster on another UK based website? “Hi. Hope you're well. Interesting situation there in DCA. Can you ask those military helicopter friends what clearance and service they get when asking to transit the routes through the DCA Class Bravo. It would also be VERY interesting to know if they hear any private helicopters cleared this way, or whether it's all military. Best & thanks, WMF.”

Mid-Air Collision in DC
I would like to get an answer from Biff or any other hello pilots about this. Anytime we (C-141/C-17) flew a low level, the Rad alt was our primary altitude instrument, I never flew a 300 ft LL using the baro altimeter. Do Blackhawks use the baro altimeter as their primary altitude instrument on a low level route that’s suppossed to be flown at 200 AGL? The reason I ask this, is because the NTSB spokeswoman seemed to be alluding there may be an issue with the barometric altimeter of the Blackhawk. thanks for the answer in advance.
