Initial Pilot Training and Future Pilot Training

Honest take: I understand you omitted a fair amount of information to protect your identity (smart) which may change my take.. but from what you wrote, you sound selfish as hell. If you’re willing to quit on this, go ahead. It sounds like a future airline career is driving your decision making; my opinion, that shouldn’t even be in the equation. All I ever wanted to do, was fly AF fighters growing up, I can’t imagine throwing that chance away because of UPT reindeer games (I’ll obviously concede these aren’t minor games). I went through UPT when one or two guys got fighters and a large portion were sent to RPAs. It would’ve been easy to be down and depressed, but most guys and gals weren’t, they kept positive attitudes, ate the shit sandwiches, and pressed. It’s cliche, but I think there should be a little bit of Service Before Self.. I got lucky, although I didn’t get -38s, I still got to fly some incredible missions to interesting places that made differences in peoples lives—not all the time certainly, and often only at the tactical/operational level, but a handful of strategic impacts as well. I would not think of quitting over UPT syllabus and timeline shenanigans. -
Gotta make sure that H model Herk gets out!

C-130s have four engines.. it’s made in the good ole USA. Easily modified. Lots of room. Can go almost anywhere. Cruises at a zippy 320T. I’m sure Lockheed could fit two VC-130Js in the que. Gen up a new comfort pallet.. easy peasey. Give POTUS his very own noise cancelling David Clark’s with sheepskin comfort liner.. luxury flying.

I’m definitely interested in how this pricing plan plays out.. it’s definitely an unusual approach. Hope it works out.

Initial Pilot Training and Future Pilot Training

I think sims have improved a bit where side by side isn’t as much of a necessity -
Immature and amateur. Trump, Harris, Biden, Clinton.. our “choices” for the last couple election cycles have been awful. We live in the world of Southpark, a Giant Douche or a Turd Sandwich
-
Why don’t we let Omega buy the -10s in the boneyard and just contract out our Strat refueling capes. What could go wrong?
-
Much like gun laws that we have and just need to enforce appropriately.. the primes need to be held accountable. Financially and probably criminally. The primes may have a monopoly on the product, but the US government in many ways has a monopoly on consuming the product.. time to start exercising that monopolistic power.
-
I’m not superstitious.. but wow things come in 3s.. civ: DCA RJ, Philly Medevac, Alaska mil: DCA -60, Alaska F-35, San Diego Growler
-
It doesn’t really matter if the RJ had TCAS or ADS-B In or Foreflight.. the helo should have had that stuff. I have no first hand knowledge of their equipment.. but it sounds like the standard Army 60s don’t have it. These 12th AB/VIP 60s should, especially if they are flying in that airspace. And if they don’t have it, they shouldn’t fly in that airspace til they do have it. And.. even worse, maybe they do have the equipment, but fly with it disabled because of IMHO blown out of proportion OPSEC concerns.. which is what AMC is doing. Drives me nuts that I fly my Herk around busy Class B and C airspace with ADS-B off because.. China. It’s a crock of shit and we will have a mishap one of these days because we aren’t using equipment that could keep us safer in the non-tactical environment.

The MAFFS aircraft fly with a standard crew loadout, no one extra. The Cal Fire Herks fly with two pilots and and an engineer.

From a friend: “Jerked, when they should’ve jinked. #gonavy”

I think California may have gotten them. It seems like the perfect platform, so what if we have to restart/recreate a production line. The plane is super simple, even Boeing couldn’t screw it up and it could be a much needed win in their portfolio..

Anyone know why the OV-10 wasn’t chosen for this?

A toast..

Can they both lose? Or is the only option on the table: we all lose?

Sounds like a win for the military industrial complex!
-
Not an airline guy.. forgive the elementary question. Why is there no ability to exclude the GPSs? Or ability to remove the bias introduced into the INU? Inflight alignment? What do you do if you lose power in flight and have to reboot?

Your GOP primary example.. is this: 49.5% Dxx 30% Txx 20.5% RTD There are zero RDT voters? Math in public, but you just need 0.6% RDT and Desantis wins. And.. if that’s not the case, it just indicates that DeSantis, in your example, is more extreme than Trump.
-
I said it would help relieve the stranglehold the extremes have on the parties.. which it would. Your example is confusing the feature with the bug. Political strategies will change due to the new voting system, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. The current system doesn’t seem to be among anyone but the elites happy.. I really haven’t done much in depth research on RCV.. seems to be working in Australia alright, I understand they have implemented it differently than Alaska has, but I’m not sure in what way

Ranked choice voting would help to relieve the stranglehold the extreme candidates hold in the parties..
