This is pretty old, so it's probably been posted before. I honestly don't know which thread is the best place for it.... ETA: Fast forward to 3:25 for the good stuff. But you'll miss the second funniest part... "Chicken Yale! Chicken Yale!"

New iOS app update available today. I submitted it a week ago. Still trying to conquer the smiley issue Posted from the NEW Baseops.net App!

I appreciate it, but there's no need honestly. Unregistered users, snaps, and admins (just because I like to monitor) see ads on the normal website. All users see ads on the mobile skinned website. Those ads generate enough revenue to keep me from being in the red. That's why I went forward with the app project. They were making enough revenue to cover those costs. So at a minimum this site should break even, some months it makes money. Either way, I'm not worried about it. This and a bunch of other sites are soon to be gathered under an LLC, and the combined numbers turn out nice. So again, thanks, but I promise there's no need. That said, in a few weeks I'm going to open a new site that I think will make military PCS's much easier. If you want to help out, you can go to that site and buy a membership. More details to follow after I approve the final designs and the lawyers get done writing user agreements and such.

Please don't take that as me begging for money. Overall I'll be fine. Just the app itself won't pay for itself. Ultimately it will be a red number project. But I know it's useful and it was a good exercise for me to try the process.

Because even with ads and paying for the app, I likely won't break even. Posted from the NEW Baseops.net App!

When I bingo the flight out (and let's be honest, I ALWAYS bingo the flight out), I never have trouble losing altitude on the RTB.... Unless of course I'm trying to pee and I'm wearing the poopy suit and the new g-suit.

They kicked it back again! Fuck Apple! Since it's 1030 AM their time, hopefully we get it approved this time. Sorry for the delays... In related news:

You may see some strange things when signing in during the weekend. I will be trying to develop a method of logging in that does not get blocked by the comm nazis. If anybody on here works a weekend shift and normally can't log in at work, and doesn't mind helping out, please PM me.

Great news... The iOS app got kicked back because I didn't give them their own very special login to the forum.... I've done that... So if you see any weird posts by "AppleLogin", it's because they suck.

Ads are based on recent searches per user. So yeah.... looking for a mail order bride? Posted from the NEW Baseops.net App!

Paid version of the Android app is available now. If you have the free version, you will start seeing ads soon (nothing massive, just a small banner at the bottom, gotta pay the bills).
  15. Thanks for the input. Unfortunately, there's not enough interest in an app right now to make it worth the excessive cost and asspain (especially Apple). As a side note, I need to test the featured company feature of the new site. If you're a unit rep and want your unit listed as a "featured company" for 2 weeks for free, please PM me. It'll help you get noticed first, and it'll help me test functionality. Thanks!

To clarify, that's any iPhone that is not a "5" model. So no 5, 5c, or 5s. I blew a grand on one of those for my wife. I need anything besides those. Posted from the NEW Baseops.net App!

For real. Need a bro with a 3.5 inch screen iPhone... PM for instructions, they're all counting on you Posted from the NEW Baseops.net App!

First person to send me their UDID for a 3.5 inch iOS device gets a free iPhone app. Also nobody gets the iOS until I can submit a screenshot from a 3.5 in iPhone. Posted from the NEW Baseops.net App! Fact. Apple just let me upload the app only to tell me I have to upload a screenshot for every device. Meanwhile the Android app has been live for days. iTunes app was uploaded today. Apple has to approve that app and then you should be able to download it.

I'm not sure, and I'm running the pre-release version. I also just sent out an update, maybe try that? There will be multiple updates over the next few weeks. Paid version for Android should be available soon. I'm not going to offer a free version on Apple, those fucktards are charging me $100/year, and something as simple as signing up to pay takes 24 hours. (needless to say, the iOS app won't be out soon).
