  1. Also, if you know anybody with an account, please let them know what's going on. The auto-mailer on the current site is struggling.

Yes, I'm thinking one of each. We should have the final details ironed out on Wednesday!

Custom work on the app should begin next week sometime, and the developer has been given a 15 day window to complete the first version of the app (from the day they start work, which is the day I fork over some dolla bills). Speaking of dolla bills; there are a few options for the app. One is a paid download, the other is free download with ads. Your thoughts?
  4. GuardReserveJobs.com is my next project. I'll be TDY starting very soon, but while I'm gone I'm having a new, more secure database (and associated software) installed. It should go inactive on 31Jan, and be back up and running (hopefully) by the end of Feb. Please PM me with questions. You WILL need to set up a new login.
  5. Yeah. This tapatalk issue is kicking my ass. Not sure what's driving it, but can't afford to spend much more time on it right now. I've submitted a request with the tapatalk folks to take a look at it (yet again). No worries, there may be an alternate option out there soon.
  6. getting guardreservejobs working took priority. Standby to standby for words on updated etic.
  7. Should be mostly functional now.
  8. I'm doing what I can. There's a lot at work behind the scenes right now.
  9. Broken again. Working on it. Sorry folks.
  10. Oh fuck it. Four's banzai, I'm hubcappin or you can film the merge if you want.... Liquid.. here's a chance to teach a young guy in the LPA a little something. What about that advice sucked, specifically? If I knew that an e-mail like that was sent from my WG/CC to my SQ/CC, it would be very motivating. "Why", you ask? Because in four very simply sentences, a topic that shouldn't be a big deal, wasn't! But also in those four very tiny sentences, my SQ/CC was delegated the authority that he ought to have had in the first place. So now he can spend less than 69 seconds writing up an approval list like FlyinGrunt posted. So in a total of maybe 75.9 seconds of "commander time" (6.9 seconds for the WG/CC and 69 seconds for the SQ/CC), a relatively minor issue was able to remain minor, and a little bit of morale has returned to the front line guy. So again, I ask, why did that advice suck? If anybody sees my flight lead tell him I'll be back when I'm winchester.
  11. I'm assuming this has been posted already, but I don't have the time/energy to look: 13-122, FY14 Enlisted Date of Separation (DOS) Rollback Program - https://mypers.af.mil/app/answers/detail/a_id/26674 13-125, FY14 Enlisted Quality Force Review Board (QFRB) - https://mypers.af.mil/app/answers/detail/a_id/26775 13-126, CY14 Enhanced Selective Early Retirement Board (ESERB) for Lieutenant Colonels and Majors - https://mypers.af.mil/app/answers/detail/a_id/26809 13-127, FY14 Enlisted Temporary Early Retirement Authority (TERA) Program - Phase II - https://mypers.af.mil/app/answers/detail/a_id/26776 13-128, FY14 Officer Temporary Early Retirement Authority (TERA) Program - Phase II - https://mypers.af.mil/app/answers/detail/a_id/26777 13-129, FY14 Enlisted Retention Boards for SrA through SMSgts and Enlisted Voluntary Separation Pay Programs - https://mypers.af.mil/app/answers/detail/a_id/26786

OOOOOHHHHHHHHHH. ROGER THAT. My guess is the whole reputation system is tits up. I won't have real internet until the 13th, so I can't do much.

Sorry, the button says delete my vote
  14. Okay, there is a bug report for this issue, it's related to the upgrade from an older ver of PHP on the old server to PHP 5 on the new server. I have implemented a temporary memory increase and will continue to manually clean the database that is causing the issue until I can figure out why it's doing this.

It doesn't give you that option? I can see a link to change my vote. What browser are you on?

The View New Content issue is related to the cache change I've made to the site. Although some random pages may require a manual refresh (until I find them all and write code to prevent it), the way the caching is built now provides much faster site access overall on all platforms. But thanks for the data point, and I'll see if I can't fix that up to go with the new data caching scheme. Also, the double-tap may randomly show itself while we do some mx functions on the site. The IPBoard staff is working on stuff that goes above my nugget right now.

Okay, thanks. Good to know. I just made some compression changes and some caching changes, so the site should load a lot faster on both desktops and mobile devices. It should also use less data per month for folks on any kind of limited plan.
  18. I had to tell her to leave until I confirmed she wasn't giving everybody the clap (aka the double post issue). Once I made sure she was not the cause of our STD, I let her back in to get ransacked some more.

That's a real curveball, as I have no clue how/why the iPhone interacts in the strange ways it does. But I'll google the shit out of it and we'll see if I can get it back to "normal", if you can call an apple product that. I applaud your use of chrome though, that's full up.

Haha, no stress. The mobile site doesn't follow the same patterns that I've set up on the desktop site. On the desktop site, as long as you're logged in and not a noob, you don't see ads. On the mobile site, I can't limit who gets ads (yet, working on it). Back to the point of this thread, app discussion has begun with a few developers. We'll see what happens.

Holy shitballs batman. These ads are about to give you a heart attack. I'm working on a way to show them to guests but not long time posters. Until then will you be okay with one at the bottom of the page on the mobile site?

Side note: What if it was free?
  23. Dude, I was just explaining the thread tie in. Don't shoot the messenger. I don't give two shits of a fuck if he straps a go pro to his nug and morts or if he wants to call himself SpecOpsFighterPilot69 on the board. Both are his lack of SA.
