Now the same stupid NOTAMabout some tower that has no impact on you doesn't show up every time you look. Obviously, this does not substitute a thorough NOTAM review. It's only available for i-devices right now. I may port it to Android if it has enough interest.

Yes, many people here are Officers, some are Enlisted, some are Civilians, many belong to other governmental agencies. Furthermore, if you think for one second this forum is going the way of the real squadrons, please leave now. I honestly believe that this forum will still be a guiding light for young folks (like myself only 7 short years ago) to STFU and learn some shit about becoming an aviator. It will still be a no-ranks place to bitch and moan and sometimes even post some positive feedback that very senior folks will lurk and read (or occasionally respond to!). I'm all for people offering up ideas to make the site better (use the app yet?), but some of your stuff is just RTFO.

Awesome. I just finished typing a lengthy reply and then dropped my laptop. Here's the highlights: Membership is up, page views are fairly steady with a slight decline in September (normal fluctuations). I've built apps and I'm still trying to find a way to get people logged in from work (if you're into that kind of thing). I would be open to setting up a sub-forum that is "approved members only", but it takes a lot of time and effort to manage something like that. Guardreservejobs is a giant pain in the ass. Every time I get it working again, within a few weeks I'm working with a three letter agency to figure out who keeps hitting my database. I love the concept, but it's going to be a while before it's ready to re-launch. JQP is more than welcome to post on BODN forums! I wish he would, maybe it would breathe some new life into our forums. If he's interested in writing a column on the new BODN website, I'll definitely be hitting him up when the new site is ready.

For the Adobe HUP, I haven't found a USAF HUP for it, but they offer a pretty legit student discount (for all of you working on your masters). You can get the entire creative cloud suite (Acrobat Pro, Photoshop, premiere pro, dreamweaver, after effects, lightroom, illustrator, the list goes on) for $20 a month.

Yeah, I'm still not very happy with the software developer that manages the database. Their software is way too buggy. But I dropped some legit dough on it, and it takes a while to make that back with a site like this Posted from the NEW Baseops.net App!

And no sooner than I post that I'm giving up, a solution appears. The hosting company is going to do a full up site restore from April 24th as if nothing got f'd up. Here's hoping it works!
