Two things. 1) The Air Force wants more people deployed, that is the only way they can tap into that gloriously endless pile of OCO money. That's why you are going on that bullshit 365 doing something you could have done at home on staff somewhere. Fvck you and your QOL. We need the money and you are expendable, replaceable and still have a commitment. 2) Show me someone who joined the military to be rich and I will show you someone who is really $hitty at math. Not saying that it isn't a well paid job, but most of us type A, go-getters can make money on the outside. Higher QOL=better retention, easier recruiting and $$$$ savings on personnel acquisition costs. At this point either our O-6 and above senior "leadership" is either inept or incompetent. I put my money on the latter.

Almost anything can be overlooked in the guard if a prospect is a good fit. Be prepared to at least address it without looking like you are just making excuses for poor performance. That will get you kicked out of the bar before you even get a chance. I don't see the AD OTS selection being quite as forgiving, being as competitive as it has been in the past.

I agree with MXQA we should let SF protect us. When seconds count, SF is only minutes away! If only they were more worried about security and less about Lts walking back to the pilot projects drunk or pulling over dudes going 3 mph above the speed limit... According to pin on rates the '06 grads will be done pinning on by this December. If we keep pinning O-4s at the same rate, the '07 group will be done by September 2017, leaving the '08 grads starting to pin on in October 2017. As dudes continue to punch, the O-4 boards will continue to move up. I can see stuff being due to your squadron in October, but even that seems a little early. Maybe board in March-April next year for '08?

Ha ha. That doesn't match the slide I saw 8 years ago saying AMC WIC was being promoted at the same rate as Phoenix Reach programs. Again, I know of guys essentially non-vol'd to WIC as heavy guys
