Really? Care to guess what it will be? Damn near anything is possible, but I just don’t see it happening, at least definitely not that soon. That all being said, if it did happen it would make for one interesting year!

It an interesting topic for sure. What’s your proposed timeline before we start seeing something substantial different than the status quo…ie, the CCP makes radical changes (or is overthrown?), China invades Taiwan, their economy goes into a depression, etc?

“Make for a good copy”?…the one I just shared is not a one off. This is seen across many businesses, the entertainment industry, the sports industry, the White House having to correct (or “clarify”) what the President says regarding Taiwan…on and on. While trade is being expanded to other countries compared to 10-20 years ago, that doesn’t mean that many interests in the US are changing their policies of not wanting to upset the CCP…I would actually argue that going above and beyond to ensure the CCP is not upset is overall increasing compared to 20 years ago. And it’s not “frustrating”, rather it just shows pure hypocrisy of those who subscribe to it. And it also shows that in the end…it’s all about $$$ not “human rights”, “women’s rights”, shall I keep going?

Not going to happen anytime soon…businesses are afraid to even call Taiwan a country for fear that they’ll upset the CCP and in turn could hurt their sales. Interesting—thanks for sharing. My thoughts are that the CCP isn’t going anywhere anytime soon (meaning the next 5-10 years at least). As for the tensions with Taiwan, the country has always been China’s for the taking…just depends on what resources they’re willing to expend and what backlash from the international community they’re willing to receive. But let’s not pretend that we’re willing to go to war with China over Taiwan, nor should we. As for the economic part, do we really want to stop trading with our largest trade partner (3rd for our exports going there, 1st for their imports coming here)? Yeah, let’s further destroy our economy. I do think it’s hilarious that the left tells us that climate change is our greatest national threat and yet we’re not tough at all on China to reduce their emissions.

Ugh…I’d much rather just take a relatively easy fitness test once a year (worst case twice a year) than be required to wear an electronic device every day(?) for an entire year tracking what I am/am not doing according to the Air Force’s liking. But that’s just me.

Here’s the problem—at the end of the video, the narrator basically says that the high prices are because renewables are in and oil is on its way out (hence why oil suppliers don’t have an incentive to up production and can just enjoy temporary high profits)…but…ask yourself why renewables are the future, and define the future? The government has literally made it more difficult to get oil out of the ground and gas to the pumps, but yet the government is using tax dollars/regulation incentives to push non-fossil fuel energy sources/vehicles. So of course the government is largely at fault here since they’re literally trying to pick the winners and losers of the future. I’m all about better (and cleaner) newer forms of energy and transportation, but this is anything but the free market at work. So I agree, high (and higher) gas prices are here to stay and it will affect just about everything in the economy—food prices, airline travel, you name it. The question is how will the economy react?…I don’t think it’s looking too good.

I like this post—and I agree with you on the two major parties. Where we often differ is on the actual issues themselves. One more point about the parties: They have both gone further left/right, respectively compared to years past, but if you compare the Dems of the 80s and 90s to today vs the GOP of the 80s and 90s to today, I think it’s safe to say one has definitely moved further than the other. Elon Musk pointed out the same issue not too long ago, and though the meme isn’t entirely accurate, it does make the point.

Wait…so let me get this straight. This is what the left wants: - Abortion up until the moment of delivery - Taxpayer funded abortions up until the moment of delivery - Taxpayer funded healthcare, whether or not the woman decides to terminate the pregnancy or have the delivery - Taxpayer funded welfare payments for women whether or not she gets pregnant, and if she does get pregnant it’s irrelevant whether or not she wants to terminate the pregnancy, and then she still gets welfare payments after the abortion or the delivery, regardless if she chooses to keep the baby or puts it up for adoption - Taxpayer funded birth control options - Businesses being forced by the government to pay a woman for work after she’s delivered a baby, even for her not doing any work during that time …and I’m sure there are others that I missed. Oh and the left believes now this all applies to men since supposedly science now says that men can also get pregnant. But yes…it’s only the anti-abortion crowd that’s the problem. Full disclosure: As I’ve mentioned in previous posts on this issue, if the argument for being pro-abortion is because one truly believes in maximum individual liberty then I’ll support their opinion (ie the Libertarian Party)…but since they don’t, they (the left, just like the right), are just picking and choosing what individual “liberties” they want and believe others should have. So let me know if you want to discuss how the Libertarian Party platform is the way to go and I’ll be right there with you. Until then, regardless of my personal opinions on abortions, it’s best to leave it up the states. And if it’s so popular as the left tells us, then I guess the Dems will win just about every federal and state election this November…though I have my doubts. Wait…so the ACA doesn’t ensure/provide healthcare to the majority of these working women? I thought that’s what we were told when it was passed? As for being “forced” to work through their pregnancy—who is being forced to work? And if someone doesn’t work, is there not unemployment/welfare benefits available? Thanks for the post. My response to SocialD was wrt adoption. For some reason there are people (most on the left…not sure of SocialD’s philosophy) who actually think that there are massive amount of babies, that if given up for adoption, would not be able to find homes. I think it’s great that parents are willing to foster children…though more foster care isn’t the solution as it’s still part of the broken system. Adoption, preferably at birth, fixes many of those problems. For some reason those on the left never publicly voice support for mothers with unwanted pregnancies to have their babies and give them up for adoption.

Why would many of these kids be “unwanted”? Are you suggesting that there is a shortage of families wanting to adopt babies given up for adoption?
