    You know, just because one is an exec doesn't mean they still don't give a shit about flying. Most pilots worth a shit can do both. Chang is just stirring the pot here, as usual. I'm sure he laughs as he's posting in anticipation of the likely fired up responses he's likely to get.

    Ok, so my wife & I both max out our Roth IRAs (mine from USAA, hers from Vanguard). I've also been putting away about 9% of basic pay into a traditional TSP. Been thinking about converting the TSP to a Roth. Is it smart to keep the traditional TSP since we are already putting in $11K/year with our Roths? Thoughts from the peanut gallery?

    Saw that the promotion rate this year is 84% for Lt Col LAF, with 58% IPZ DP rate. Anyone remember the #s from last year & how they compare?

    All of the guys from our wing who were just passed over their APZ to O5 were all given TERA with a NLT 31 Dec 14 date...all 11M. For what it's worth.

    Results will be out publicly tomorrow. 3hole: Nothing all that eye opening...pretty much on par with last year in the total percentage.

    I don't doubt that. @ Al Dhafra our boom went back to the ARO to start his preflight when he caught two SF airmen doing the hibbity dibbity back there in the dark. A slow clap was initiated by all who were there when they exited.

    I understand. The SRO from my class was a Reservist Capt & former C-130 Nav who was going back to his unit. It's not necessarily true that he was treated better, but he was able to leverage better treatment for the flight based on that. We also had an Army fixed wing qual Major that also deflected a lot of queep for the flight.

    I'd recommend box.com for all of your documents. You can actually get to it from the .mil and you get something like 50 GB storage for free. Also, each folder you set up on there comes with it's own unique email address so you can upload docs to it by just emailing it to that address.

    True statement. @ Andrews, PG County requires you to get said inspection if you are assigned to the base--even if you live in VA or have out of state registration. Great idea!

    Shit happened all the time @ Dhafra on the ramp. We would get right on his ass, flash the taxi light, & spool the engines up a bit in order to roust him. Seriously dude, if you want to catch some shut eye do it off of the route in/out of the parking area. Smart ones they are.

    I have the RAM X-mount for my iPhone...works great. I imagine the mini version would as well.

    It's not that big if a deal...MWS IP is > than OSA IP, however it's not the end all be all. When I left the C-21 in 2006, they just started the ACIQ flow for MWS guys coming over. If that's still the case, you'll quickly upgrade to IP. I'd bet it would be around the 1 year point. The C-21 was a great time...simple jet, simple mission, & good flying.

    I oftentimes check my work email from home to avoid going into work in the first place, and if it gives me SA on what's going on around the office, I don't see the harm. Shit, it takes all of 2 minutes to check---a lot less than it takes for all y'all to make your 10th post of the day on BODN.
