  1. Depends on the Sq. Was told leave must begin and end at same location. I missed work on a Monday, had to take Sat and Sun too.
  2. Probably because they were also airline pilots. I know I'm a lot happier now since leaving AD. I have much more QUALITY time home with my kid now that I've left and that's with commuting to both jobs.
  3. Aren't there rules for this though if you're not furloughed? I know USERRA says no more than 5 years of service, but if you go beyond that couldn't you potentially lose your seniority number?
  4. Delta. Because they gave me a job.
  5. If you're a commuter, the standby ticket works like a charm!
  6. Here's another plug for the Amex Platinum and Amex Delta Skymiles Platinum especially for those of you that are new hire airline pilots. Nothing beats waiting for your commute home then being able to go to the Skyclub for some free food and drinks before heading home, and it's sure better than the crew lounge. Since separating from AD both of my cards' fees have been waived, and I've still been receiving the companion tickets. I'll let you know if anything changes, but as far as I know, if you're still a reservist you still qualify for the fees being waived.
  7. Might wanna hurry up and get it and stock up on 5.56 before O bans the ammo. https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/article/2560750 https://www.news-leader.com/story/news/local/ozarks/2015/02/21/ban-armor-piercing-bullets/23816437/
  8. Uh.....
  9. Here are 1,000 rounds of 223 from Freedom Munitions for $289 . https://www.freedommunitions.com/223-Rem-55-gr-FMJ-p/fm223f55r-c1000.htm. I've shot their .223, 5.56 and 9mm rounds with zero issues.
  10. Thanks for the info. Unfortunately I'm already coming up on 14 days since separating with no health care. Normally I wouldn't care, but since I have a 6 month old, that changes things a bit.
  11. For those of you that PC'd and received TAMP, how long after your separation did it take for DEERS to update so you were eligible? I was told it takes up to 30 days for my unit to officially gain me, and during those days my family is not covered. Anyone find any quick work arounds; or am I stuck to just sitting, waiting, and paying out of pocket with the hope that Tricare will reimburse me once I'm officially back in DEERS?
  12. Yup, similar issue I'm having, but I Palace Chased. I supposedly qualify for TAMP, but was told that it takes up to 30 days for my unit to gain me thanks to the slow ass process at ARPC. Until that time, my family has no health care. Of course the DEERS office's recommended solution is to pay out of pocket and Tricare "should" reimburse us when they back date our TAMP qualification date, but I know how that works. What a clown show.
  13. I know of at least one hired by Delta that only had the written complete.
  14. I just finished the ATP practical and MEI add-on with Sanders Aviation in Jasper, AL. Highly recommended. Be sure to stay in the trailer.
  15. Yes, got the official email today. I was waiting on AFPC to receive my position number. Good luck!
  16. Supposedly I just got approved today (according to SQ/CC). 2005 11M with 4 years ADSC remaining. Had a letter of intent. This was for the FY14 FM program. The new matrix (11 June) just dropped still showing 2005-2008 as eligible.
  17. Mobile is booked through August, so won't help for the ATP.
  18. I want out because in the big scheme, all we are is a fucking number. That's it. They don't care about us, who we are, or what we want. At the end of the day, we're just some generic number used to fill whatever requirement they need filled at the time be it a 6-monther, 365er or some random PCS. If you do manage to stick it out and retire, what do you get? Probably a divorce, a nice shadow box, and a "thank you very much" while some other number fills the void you just left.
  19. AFPC has no fucking clue what's going on. One person says one thing, and another person says something completely different. Not to mention they have yet to update the FY14 matrix showing who's now ineligible. But apparently that takes way too long and has to be approved on so many different levels before they can do that. I hate this place.
  20. 2005 11Ms are now full for FY14 PC according to AFPC. Now it goes back to reg PC with all the other shit associated with it (3 for 1, TA recoup, PC board with functional yay or nay) FML. Also 2004 and 2006 YGs are also full.
  21. It's good to know that at least someone's still alive in that office. Sorry it got kicked back though. Mine still shows "Referred to Palace Chase OPR." I guess applying under the FY14 program rather than the other still takes 10 weeks.
  22. You're golden if you are in the 1986 year group!
  23. 2005s are ineligible under the FY15 matrix, but the FY14 matrix still has 2005 11Ms still showing blue for expanded Palace Chase.
  24. Right seat gear monkey in the PC-12, Phenom 100 or 300. I believe it goes up to $250 for the Phenom. No hourly rate unless full time. But hotels, rental cars and food are all covered by the company even as contract.
  25. 02 11Ms are still showing ineligible. The only 11M year group with a yellow box is 2004. 11R now has a yellow highlighted box around year groups 2000-2003.
