Isn't 2005 YG's board in December 2014? Seems like March would be too fast for another one.

SOS/ACSC information
CZ showed up to the Captain-led roof stomp at the General's house when I was at SOS. As he approached on the porch, I said "Captains only" (to his bewilderment), pointed him in the direction of the empty beer cooler and aimed for the nearest exit.

US KC-135 Down - Kyrgyzstan
Good stuff. Are you receiver tanker (RT) qualed? I wonder if the sharp aileron inputs you referenced are similar to "chopping the wood" and making similar aileron/spoiler inputs to defeat PIO in the horizontal axis which sometimes occurs during AR.

US KC-135 Down - Kyrgyzstan
That's a wild story. What exactly does the manual control recovery entail and how long did it take for you to regain control of the jet?

FY 14 Force Management Program (RIF, VSP, TERA)
My year group/AFSC is only over by 8. Trying to determine if more would be allowed through PC.

FY 14 Force Management Program (RIF, VSP, TERA)
Anyone applying for the Palace Chase program? Is it running parallel with VSP? I'm curious if they will only be releasing the estimated overage per the matrix for the all the programs (PC, VSP, RIF) combined. Seems like a good deal with 1/1 payback.

Wow, you went there!

FY 14 Force Management Program (RIF, VSP, TERA)
And is there a well established RV-4 mafia out there? That and the proven "hot chick" presence are key. Any AFPC rep would certainly understand if this justification popped up on a VSP package right?

FY 14 Force Management Program (RIF, VSP, TERA)
Word. One of these days we'll get the requirements. You'd think after a month from telling the masses, they'd have this thing ironed out.

So nothing new compared to the matrix? Copy chaff.

MC-12 Crash in Afghanistan
What's the AFSAS number? I can't find anything searching Class A and "C-12".

Easy tiger (or Ram). All I'm saying is from a mission perspective, I'd rather be closer to the where I can do my job so I can have a greater influence. I never wasted much time worrying about where I was sleeping, whether it was in a B hut in OEF or a trailer in the CC, but the danger that our troops face in country is a legitimate threat and concern to me. That's why I'd rather be 30min away.

I am. Would you rather be in the stack 12hrs with 1hr admin or 7hrs with 6 cross country flying out of one of the hottest and most humid places on earth where you have to deal with dirt bags at customs every time you go fly?

National Air Cargo 747 Crash at Bagram
I'm sorry you had to witness that, hang in there. That sounds like a perfect place to relax post deployment.

Chief of AF Sexual Assault Prevention Branch at Pentagon Arrested for Sexual Assault
I'm sure Gen Welsh had no clue so much of his time would go towards dealing with this nonsense. He has so many great ideas and has already made significant strides (no blues on monday and killing the Capt promotion boards) but this is a huge set back. This just illustrates the importance of hiring the right people.

No parachutes on heavies
I always viewed the 4 engines on my wing as a pretty good life insurance policy. Never cared for a parachute but that's just me.

National Air Cargo 747 Crash at Bagram
I'm not a 747 guy but if it were a runaway trim issue wouldn't it have been nose DOWN runaway (obviously not shown in the video) because of the trim inputs from the flight deck with an increase in speed? I believe the KC-135 Class A that killed everyone on board was runaway nose UP because they were on approach and trimming nose up as the airspeed decreased. I don't know, I'm not a doctor.

Gen Welsh - USAF Chief of Staff
Stiffler has a really unique perspective based off his current job as a civilian, I'll just leave it at that. Plus, he's spot on as usual.
