I asked this question of JFHQ a few months ago. Their belief was it would be tax-free. We did not have anyone press-to-test yet. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile app
Promos up to Maj (since all rated positions are Maj positions)-individual is recommended for promo and signed/submitted by SQ/CC to FSS. Promo then usually goes to JFHQ for state approval. JFHQ then sends to NGB for Fed Rec. Once Fed Rec approved, NGB sends promo order back down thru JFHQ to FSS and SQ/CC. This usually occurs monthly. What skills do you have that would benefit that unit, i.e. your current AFSC? If you are non-prior, then the chances are slim to none. There is zero benefit for the AFRC unit. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile app
That needs to be squashed ASAP. Offer to take the FM on a TDY and see if the perspective changes. This is not how an ANG unit should function. Full timers forget their job is to SUPPORT the part timer. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile app
I was a DO of an OSS, then asked to be a SQ/CC of a non flying GSU. Boss asked what I wanted to do after CC stint and I told him I wanted to fly again. Leave for new a/c qual in the fall. Helps me get current again and then I’ll make a decision on retirement then airline or go DSG and airline. Kinda nice to be able to have a little control over my future. The new ANGI 36-2001 came out toward the end of April and does make it more difficult for RUTAs. But I have not seen or read anything about only making up 1, but I haven’t finished reading it yet. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile app
I’m a prior herk and MQ-9 bubba. Now transitioning to -135s. I’m just happy to be back flying manned airplanes again. The herk mission was awesome and I look forward to flying the tanker. Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile app
I confirmed with JFHQ HRO yesterday that these bonuses would be tax-free if done while downrange. Get on it boys! Sent from my iPhone using Baseops Network mobile app
