I am sorry but that is just insanity to contemplate, I don't want either side to have that much power. I presume you've read the Constitution, have you read the Federalist Papers? I am not a scholar but from my fumbling attempts to read and understand there is an major theme that pops out. The Framers wanted compromise, discussion, debate and consensus. I dare say the vast majority of folks on here and in both parties are not full on extremists, but the current political environment has both sides trying to rule from the extreme. I am a Republican but I believe in Gay marriage and abortion (yes it is horrific but I will never try to tell a woman what she can do with her body), and many social causes. I don't want the AOC and Bernie Sanders wack jobs passing Marxist policies and I don't want the right wing religious zealots trying to force everyone to attend church and rule by the bible. I completely disagree with Trumps call to end the Filibuster, just like I think it was a HUGE mistake for Harry Reid to invoke the nuclear option. As much as I disliked Clinton I give him great credit for reaching across the aisle to work with Newt Gingrich to pass legislation in the middle. Same with Ronald Reagan and Tip O'neil...neither side fully one and neither side fully lost. Ending the Filibuster is poison if we ever want to get back to the middle in this country.

13 dead Marines and a hand waive of both responsibility and compassion by some on this forum. Whatever you think about staying or leave Afghanistan what happened was an absolute abortion and lays squarely at the feet of the Commander in Chief.

Words words words, don't waste your time, stopped reading your drivel a long time ago.

I should have been more precise, "MY" gains have been wiped out (too much tech), or were wiped out until the bounce back on Friday. That being said is your "believe what you want on the other points" a hand waive at the other issues? I choose to believe Biden completely screwed the Afghanistan Withdraw, I guess you disagree. I choose to believe Biden and his massive government plans have caused inflation, I guess you disagree. I choose to believe that Biden stood in front of a camera during the campaign and said "I am going to shutdown the virus." He also said of the pandemic "I am going to end this. Finally, during the last Presidential debate he said "anyone who is responsible for that many deaths should not remain as president of the United States of America." This clown now has MORE deaths during his term than Trump did. I guess you choose not to believe those facts. I don't want a war with Russia and yes it is a very complicated situation that has a long history including a security promise made by the United States if Ukraine gave up its nuclear weapons. I don't know if Trump would have defended Ukraine (from his recent statements saying it is a Europe problem probably not). Regardless, Biden's diminished mental capacity and continued word scramble makes him and us look weak. Good look up his "small incursion" comments...to me it sure sounded like a green light to Putin. Before taking office Biden announced he would end Trump's tariffs on China, and aide had to walk those comments back. Yes I know it is a complicated situation but the mixed messages...When Biden took office he immediately suspended a planned arms sale to Taiwan (and other countries as you are aware). At that point China started ever increasing incursions into Taiwan's airspace. Those incursions are not weekly with large force presentations of 40-50 aircraft strike groups. It took Biden until August to "re-approve" the paused sale. So yes I choose to believe China is doing whatever they want thanks to us looking weak. I choose to believe Biden campaigned on bringing the country back together...he said it multiple times. Looking beyond the record number of Executive Orders he signed. He also has supported ending the filibuster, he opened the borders and has secret flights dumping ILLEGALS into our cities every night, and has supported a lot of far left proposals. Sorry but I choose to believe that is NOT bringing us back together and governing from the middle. I choose to believe he has NOT re-established America on the world stage as he promised. Also, when he calls a reporter a "stupid son of a bitch" I don't think that is restoring dignity to the office of the President. Again, Trump is an ass, a horrible person, but I don't see how the haters simply hand waive the lies, mental decline and failure that is Biden the meat puppet.
-
So in summary Uncle Joe has: 1. Screwed the Afghanistan Withdraw. 2. Torched the stock market (all gains since the election now erased). 3. Brought inflation home to America. 4. Failed to stop the virus as promised. 5. Opened the door for Russia to invade Ukraine. 6. Allowed China to rage in the South Pacific and now launch large force packages at Taiwan. 7. Tried bring us all back together by destroying the filibuster. He sure has re-established America on the world stage. Yes Trump is an ass, a horrible person, but this was worth all your hate? Simply unreal.

It is not true to quote his death rate statement? GTFOH. He said 98% survival rate NOT ME so I did the math. Not "MY" survival numbers. Does anyone actually ready on here? I guess not...so probably pointless to repost my statement "I am not in favor of masks, shutting down the economy, or mandatory vaccinations but I think we should stop the 98% survival rate BS and acknowledge there is a real impact" M2 - you are correct, we should nuke this thread.
-
I will never understand the 98% survival rate statement. 340,000,000 Americans x .02 death rate = 6.8 million dead Americans, you are ok with that? We got lucky, so far it has killed 849,000 Americans and world-wide it has killed 5.5 MILLION People. I am not in favor of masks, shutting down the economy, or mandatory vaccinations but I think we should stop the 98% survival rate BS and acknowledge there is a real impact.

91% less likely to kill those who get infected than the delta strain Omicron Death Rate in South Africa Peaked at 15% of Delta Wave

If you still think Fauci is on the up and up I invite you to review this breakdown of his emails by a LIBERAL. Ryan Grim is a well known liberal journalist who has for years focused on corruption. He worked for the Huffpost and contributed to the Young Turks...hardly a conservative hack.

The study does, but the article doesn't, that was the point. We distill everything into small bytes because people won't take the time to read.

This article is maddening and illustrates why there is so much confusion. Not a dig on you but peel the onion back a bit and watch Facui hijack the result. I might be an internet epidemiologist but I am certainly NOT an expert. That being said, from what I've read about other pandemics the "usual" evolution is for the virus to mutate and become more transmissible and less lethal. That certainly appears to be the case with Omicron as outlined by this study. "Yes, but: While we are seeing early evidence that Omicron is less severe than Delta, and that those infected are less likely to require hospitalization, it's important to note that Omicron continues to be much more transmissible than Delta," Walensky said. Ok, the numbers seem to support these statements. Now the rub - the numbers you show above are great but are not cross-correlated to vaccinated versus unvaccinated, boosted versus non-boosted. All we have is the comment from our dear leader who says - NIAID director Anthony Fauci added that those who are vaccinated and boosted are much less likely to get severe illness from Omicron.

Not so fast...and I would NOT celebrate liberty just yet. Yes they killed the mandate for companies with more than 100 employees but the issue is FAR from settled. If you read the opinion was very narrow and it was not about the mandate as much as it was about the power of OSHA and a kick of the can to Congress to pass a vaccine mandate law. On the same day SCOTUS ruled against Missouri and upheld the mandate for Healthcare workers. There are several cases still working their way up through the lower courts that will likely land on the steps of SCOTUS with the Federal Employee Mandate case being another major decision point.

I don't know what to believe, but when she replied to the question "Sir, I can’t answer that" it sure didn't help. A very simple "Absolutely not" would have ended the discussion and controversy, but she couldn't do that. I know and have worked with a lot of FBI agents, one was my closest friends until he passed away last year, great Americans and extreme professionals. That being said, every group of all-stars has one or two bad apples, including our community. While I certainly don't think it was an institutional effort to encourage people to enter the capitol, sometimes bad apples do things they shouldn't to make their case stronger, it happens far too often with LEOs. There are some questions that people want answered and she the fact that she would not simply answer does not help settle the matter.

The plot thickens and Slife digs in with counter accusations. Isn't that the standard GO TTP, Lie, Deny, Make Counter Accusations. Air Force Accused of Lowering Standards for Elite Unit to Accommodate Female Candidate

You are trying to chaff the question. #1. Did any FBI agents or confidential informants actively participated in the riot? #2. Did any agents or confidential informants committed crimes of violence on Jan. 6? #3. Did any agents or confidential informants "actively encouraged" crimes of violence on Jan. 6? Those are not methods, those are CRIMES.
-
Meh...you are dodging the issue or maybe you didn't watch what happened? Of course we want the FBI chasing these idiots back to their caves, but we are still a country of law and some VERY shady shit happened. "How many FBI agents or confidential informants actively participated in the events of Jan. 6?" Cruz asked. Sanborn said in response that she could not discuss "the specifics of sources and methods" of the FBI. Ok, valid discussing sources and methods is something we have to protect, although I don't think it was a big secret that the FBI had people in the crowd. HOWEVER: Cruz then broadened his question by asking if any FBI agents or confidential informants actively participated in the riot. "Sir, I can’t answer that" Seriously?!?!?! You think this is a source and method? Cruz then asked if any agents or confidential informants committed crimes of violence on Jan. 6. When he received the same answer, he asked if any agents or confidential informants "actively encouraged" crimes of violence on Jan. 6. "Sir, I can’t answer that." Come on brother, you have to know this is wrong. I am really curious to hear how you think the is a legal method that needs to be protected?

Concur - Leading a crew of 13 across the ocean to employ in dynamic CAS fights inside 25 meters while dodging AAA, MANPADS and avoiding clueless chodes in the stack is WAY different than flying around as Blue 4 making "Twoop", "Bingo", "Leads on Fire" and I'll take the fat one" calls.

He had no choice. I wonder which IG is doing the investigation, the statement made it sound like he directed the IG investigation which keeps it internal to AFSOC and thus his control. Since the accusations surround a sitting three star this should go straight to the AF/IG. Finally, not sure I would classify him as a 40 pound brain. Smart?...At times. Socially awkward...ALWAYS. A political chub gobbler...usually. But definitely not the Smartest guy in the room.
-
You shouldn't be crucified, but how do you know there isn't more proof? In my very limited experience with AFSOC there is usually at least some truth in frustrated letters like this. I would be willing to bet email or other evidence was provided that is still being held back. The response form the AFSOC/CC is VERY telling...yeah we get it, there is context, but there is no denial of the facts. Again, no denial of the facts. Sadly, this narrative jives with a lot of other things leaking out of AFSOC/HQ. Why did so many senior AFSOC officers leave rather than serve under him? Why did both folks slated to fleet up to WING/CC punch at the same rather than serve under this guy? Why is he pushing the most caustic human ever to wear the uniform to replace him? Did he really classify the entire gunship community as killers without conscious who enjoy killing...and thus they need down time to reflect on themselves? I, like you, know and respect some of the people named. However, if any of the alleged facts related to them is true...there is some serious splainin to do. Seriously, if she was truly offered a Tier 1 position if she would stay, does that pass any sniff test other than a woke agenda? I am sick to my stomach hoping that part is wrong.

The dude that helped invented MRNA Vaccine technology or at least had a lot to do with it), explains the lunacy of what has happened. Big Tech is the devil and there is some serious bullshit taking place with our "masters". https://rumble.com/vrtdku-joe-rogan-jre-1757-robert-malone-covid.html?fbclid=IwAR1uDDwIB0fxwOTjmTDmevf2vYWK2r9KXaChtkQaclnK9JLl26z1g8CpcpA

How much is "deep"? I thought I was a bit overboard with 10,000 .22, 4000 .45, 5000 9MM and 10,000 .223 until I discovered a friend who purchased 100,000 .223 just as the Pandemic was starting. I am a much better shot than him so I guess I always have a back up stash if things go way south. 🙂
