  1. I've been playing around with kydex lately. Here's something I came up with. The sheath mounts to the 2d and 3d eyelet and is curved around the boot. It's still pretty rough and missing a couple of rivets, but you get the point.
  2. I never considered going to college "work," but then again, I did go to FSU.
  3. Those appear to be the work of the devil. I like.

What's more noteworthy to me is that all the other dudes in the army are about 4' tall.

I've got nooooo problem with someone blowing cash on guns, trust me. I would just put out there that if a person has ANY thought of using a gun in a self or home defense role that they seek out professional training. A basic pistol class is far from ninja training. I equate it to pilot training: when you graduate UPT you know how to take off and land and fly around a little bit. But you have 0 clue how to employ an airplane as a weapon. Same thing with guns.

Your new Python is fuckin' sweet. I just put an Apex trigger kit in my S&W 642CT. The DAO trigger pull still sucks but maybe the laser will scare somebody. On the other hand I put an Apex Forward Set Sear in my 9mm M&P...best striker fired trigger you'll ever feel. And my old lady got me another shooting class in March. Life is good.

For a little more $ you could take a class and actually learn to shoot.

I like my Troy sights. Recommend Aimpoint Micro for the optic.

We celebrate Christmas here in 'Merica. if you don't like it you can go back to where you came from. I won't stand for this Happy Holidays bullshit.
  10. Maybe the guys at the top feel like the wheels are coming off. They've got a pilot force that is highly combat experienced but bored now that the action is winding down. The force is also disgruntled due to personnel policies. They're probably scared shitless that they've got a bunch of dudes who feel like they've got nothing to lose. Once again leadership uses the only tool in their toolbox: sternly worded emails.
  11. Then explain to me how there was a shooting there. It shouldn't be possible if it's a gun free zone, right?
  12. But I though VT was a "Gun Free Zone?"
  13. Me,too.

The camera work was fantastic. You really have to watch the whole thing to appreciate it. Or just skip straight to 7:38.

Well, if you can shoot 2' groups while drinking heavily then your accuracy is probably decent while sober. Carry on.
  16. Beaver replied to VL-16's topic in Squadron Bar
Hopefully WAY less than 2' groups.

That's bait. Zombies can't resist a hint of grapefruit in their beer. On another note, I just purchased 5 stripped lowers from Palmetto State Armory for $49.99 each. One will be the base for a 6.8mm SPR. That's nice.
  18. It only took him 42 years to get a job title with "Commander" in it.

Gun - $300 Trigger kit - $90 Mag clamp - $80 Mag extension - $45 Safety - $15 Barrel - $165 Streamlight TLR-1 - $99 Duracoat - $16 I picked the barrel with the rifle sights because I wanted the parkerize finish, the sights have tritium inserts, and it seemed a little better than just a bead for home defense. I've never shot ghost ring sights. You could probably go out and spend $700 and get a better gun that what I ended up with. But I enjoyed the project and the gun turned out exactly how I want it.

  23. I saw an Army Air Cav squadron enter the bar at Nellis during Red Flag with full spurs and Stetsons. The XO jumped up on a chair and announced the entrance of the Sq CC and the rest of the squadron. Then the commander came in and rang the bell. It was awesome. Go for the bush hats and own it.
  24. Please tell me you've sold by now. Netflix is going to get destroyed tomorrow.

I think it's technique that keeps chicks from being able to rack the slide. They tend to be very tentative with the gun in their hands due to lack of familiarity. I don't think it's a strength issue.
