I don't have any updates to that information, but I personally know several herk guys who have done/are on a 365 to teach the Iraqis or afghans to fly herks or c27s. If the 365s are gone and those are now 179-I'll take it. And immediately continue bitching about that particular deployment requirement.

Maybe not currently but since October when I posted that, 2 dudes who worked directly for me have gone to U28s. Or more accurately PC-12 with U-28 followon.

I asked the same question in the FY15 force management thread and as of now, there is not an expanded PC program for FY15. If you hear about one coming down the pipe, please let us know

Correlation does not equal causation. I wouldn't put it past afpc to do something like that, but they've repeatedly shown they aren't competent enough to figure it out. Keep in mind, 365s do not get handed down by the CC. They come from AFPC based on number of short tours, short tour return date and a probably a couple other factors I can't remember right now. But I'm skeptical that vsp application has anything to do with a 365 other than the dudes applying we're likely motivated knowing they were short on the list to get tagged.

WTF happened to this thread? Did we get through all the low hanging fruit about what's wrong with the AF so now we have to quote sections of US code to compare to AFIs? I think I went a little cross eyed trying to make the connection as well. I guess when a c17/tanker/B1 guy is running the base, it is more important to recognize Popeyes management than the maintainers out fixing the planes or the crews who are deployed right now....it's Saturday and I'm just getting angry. F it. I'm out.

I don't know how the tanker guys view the herk/17 dudes but I know that the tanker dudes don't do so great in the herk. I mean, they do great enough that they don't die, get upgraded, get promoted and then get to be the wg/cc for a wing flying airplanes they know dick about. But they suck in the plane. Generally speaking.

Fact. Remember a few months ago with that little spat over Syria? Putin walked away smelling like roses while we had egg on our face. I'm not sure that our politicians' egos have recovered from that yet.
