If you go read the PSDM for the FY14/15 programs it lists how much of what type of adsc can be waived. Particularly now that those programs are closed, the above two posts are spot on. If I were you, I'd be waiting to see if a new matrix comes out and what that looks like. Because outside of a force management program I don't think your odds are good. PS-what do you fly?

I don't totally disagree with your points. But we over sell this one about not being able to speak up. It's all about context. If you're the CGO making comments in a CC call or not supporting the CC once a decision has been made then you're wrong. I've been fortunate to have CCs who were at least willing to hear me out when I had a gripe or thought they were screwing up. But those are closed door sessions that aren't in front of the squadron. No one is going to be 100 percent right all the time. Sometimes you may still disagree with what the boss says, but once you've said your piece it's time to get in line. Billy Mitchell didn't fall in his sword because he didn't like the color of the napkins at the Christmas party.

The J model is replacing the Herk. Part of the issue with Js replacing Hs in the ARC is that units lose jobs. They would have the same issue with Js. Maybe yall know something I dont, but the C17 production line is done. No way to replace the hundreds of herks in the ARC with 17s. Could you do it with a unit of two? Probably, but where do the tails come from?

There isn't a timetable to Js. At least not until a budget gets signed. Same speculation about Keesler tails, pope, TFI units in general…just smile a lot and wait to see what happens. Don't worry, you'll be able to retire.

Bottom line is none of us knows, but I'll add some speculation…I think the maffs units will be the first to get Js-Cheyenne, C springs and Charlotte. Channel Islands already has Js. The newer H3s will get shuffled around, Pretty sure Montana got 2 super Es, but I don't seem that unit going J anytime real soon but it could happen. Lots of H models in the ARC and even if there was a shit pile of cash lying around, Lockheed can only make Js so fast. AFSOC and rescue are currently getting a bunch, yokota is going to need some tails…it'll be a while before Lockheed needs to convince congress that the ARC needs Js in order to keep the line open

What happened to not being eligible for RIF if you're not eligible for VSP? The note below the ADSC waiver table says "weapons school and test pilot school ADSCs are not waiverable" Wait-when did bro go through TPS?
